October 20th, 2012Do I lose any Activations after renewing my update plan?
Knowledge Base support case for AllWebMenus, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Initial Email Subject: Had to use activations after updating to new versions
Support Case Month: April 2012
I just updated AllWebMenus Pro and Tooltips Builder.
On each one, I had to activate with a new activation after the upgrade. I recently upgraded my account to receive updates for the next year, so I had plenty of activations available.
I was just concerned that I had to use an activation after a program update.
I wanted you to know.

This did not actually remove any of your activations, as the online system recognized it was an update and not a new installation.
When you extend your Update Plan, the information is not passed into your PC until you get a new Activation Code. Hence AllWebMenus thought that you were not eligible to use this release (as it was released after the previous expiry date of your Update Plan) and turned back into Trial.
This is why you need to take a new Activation Code whenever you change something in your license (e.g. extend a Plan or purchase more add-ins).
The same process is forced for all the other Likno products, such as Likno Web Modal Windows Builder, Likno Web Tooltips Builder, Likno Web Scroller Builder, Likno Web Accordion Builder, Likno Web Tabs Builder, this means, you don't actually lose any activation after renewing your update plan or purchasing more add-ins at the same pc.
Only new installations (e.g. in a new PC or after a format) will actually reduce your remaining activations.
