Subject: Safari 5.1 Mac
My horizontal menus are misbehaving in the newest release of Safari (v5.1) for Macintosh. Submenus sporadically jump above the menubar. I\'ve demonstrated this consistently on Macs running Snow Leopard and Lion.
I cannot replicate this problem in (a) earlier versions of Safari, including 5.0; (b) Safari 5.1 for Windows; (c) other browsers; (d) vertical menus. It seems to be limited to Safari 5.1 and my horizontal menus.

Dear Barton,
We had another user with the same problem, and we were able to induce that the problem only occurs if your submenus have an unfolding effect.
So if you want you can try putting back the Flash slideshow and just remove the opening effect from the menu.
Please let me know if this works.

Kostas

Thank you for your continued concern. I tried your suggestion and indeed the problem with Flash is eliminated.
In researching this issue, I found forums of users with similar problems using Javascript menus from other software developers. It seems to be a known problem regarding Flash.
