Hi!

I am wondering if you can help me fix a couple of problems with position on my menu on my web page.  When you scroll down on a submenu the submenu gets positioned behind some flash that resides underneath my menu. I have been trying to fix it but I am stumped.

The 2nd item I need help with is positioning on mobile devices. The menu appears on mobile devices to be too far over to the right.

Can you help please!?

P.S. I think your products/service ROCKS!!! If you ever need a reference you can use me!

Dear John,

Regarding the flash issue, you need to add the “wmode=transparent” parameter to your flash applet(s). For more details, please read the help here:

menu z-index property and flash objects

Regarding the positioning, did you position your menu “Relative to Window”? If so, then it is natural that the menu always stays put relative to the left-top window corner. The best solution would be to position the menu “Relative to Element” using “container” in the ID field (note that this is case-sensitive). Please try this and let me know if it works as expected.

How does the Slider tool work with XSitePro.  Do you create pics outside of XSitePro, then load them into XSitePro somehow?  Is it a true Slider like Wow Slider, for example ...or do you have to click on an arrow to move them across the page.

Hello Larry,

You can populate your pictures trough DIV elements, UL/LI elements so in this case you can have the pictures wherever you want and just use the correct paths inside the DIV tags or UL tags.

Another way is to create the slider and select the population method "with items inside the compiled project", so in this case you will upload to your server the compiled files and you just insert a js script in the page where you want the slider to appear.

On Monday we are launching a new version of the Likno Web Scroller Builder in which you will have the choice to populate your images through RSS services like Flickr or Picasa.

Likno Web Scroller Builder is a powerful application that lets you create any slider you want. Of course, you can have a slider that slides without having to click or mouse over on any arrow.

Check the screenshots below to see how you can do that.

This is one of the  examples that you can find in the application.

To make the slider items slide automatic check this property.

slide automatically on page load

And you should uncheck this property in order not to use navigation arrows.

If you click on the calendar button, the submenu items are not visible.  I believe they are behind the page.

Thanks for any help.

Dave

Dear Dave,

This is because you are using a cross-frame menu, and the submenus are not linked to this specific page.

Please copy the following code to the calendar page, right after the <body> tag:

<!-- DO NOT MOVE! The following AllWebMenus linking code section must always
be placed right AFTER the BODY tag-->
<!-- ******** BEGIN ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu_sub ******** -->
<script type="text/javascript">
var MenuLinkedBy="AllWebMenus [4]",awmMenuName="menu_sub",awmBN="664";a
wmAltUrl="";
</script>
<script charset="UTF-8" src="/menu_sub.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">awmBuildMenu();</script>
<!-- ******** END ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu_sub ******** -->

Support Case Month: April 2013

To whom it may concern,

i downloaded trials for both the "AllWebMenus" and "Likno Web Tooltips Builder"

trying out the "export" feature to get the relevant html & css for both programs i only get the generic program file extension and one image.

Is this export disabled/limited for the trial versions ?

I presume they must export html & css, other wise how do i get or use them for a web project ?

your kind assistance in this would be greatly appreciated.

kind regards,
Randall

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Randal,

The "export" function will export the menu project so that you can transfer it to another computer.

What you are looking for is the "Compile" function. This is available for localhost in the Tooltips trial application, but it is not available in the AllWebMenus trial. If you want to be able to also compile a menu, please let me know and I will send you a custom trial activation key.

I am just getting started with AllWebMenus Pro and am trying to create a mega menu but don't see that option in your style list. Can you walk me through how to do this?

Thank you,
Terri

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Terri,

Regarding the mega-menu, this can be achieved by adding a single submenu item that uses the “HTML – Full Mode”. This way you can add custom HTML to create the content of your mega-menu. You can see examples of this and download the menu projects in our online examples page:

http://www.likno.com/examples.html?example=mega_dropdown_menu1

http://www.likno.com/examples.html?example=mega_dropdown_menu2

In order to use an image with a link, you can add an HTML code similar to the following:

<a href="http://www.mysite.com/">
      <img src="myimage.jpg" style="border: none;">
</a>

To create a submenu that takes up the full screen, set it as a menubar:

menubar mega menu

Finally in standard floating menus, if you want to use an image, simply add the image and link in the appropriate fields:

menu image property

I hope the above were helpful. Please let me know if you need anything else.
