Hello

I just purchased a sliding menu theme, package #41. After I downloaded it and previewed the files, I couldn't see the files listed under package #41 (Sliding Cloud, Sliding Linear Green, etc.), but rather a bunch of menu themes that are not part of #41. did I get the wrong package?

Thanks for your help.

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thank you for your purchase.

You purchased 1 "credit" and then you had to "license" the particular menu theme that you want (#41) inside your User Area.

I just did it for you (for #41).

So, please re-download, install and you will see it.

Hello,

can I use your product to mimick the exact same look of my current vertical navigation menu (exact meaning no borders, retain color, font, etc). See below – is it possible to do this in Likno? The Company and Services selections should produce a simple sliding submenu when moused-over; the other selections should simply click and jump to a new page.

Thanks,

Dear David,

Yes, this seems like a pretty easy menu to recreate…

You will find all the related properties in the Style Editor:

Menu Style: Background Color, Border, Shadow

style: Text Font / Size / Decoration / Color, Foreground Image

Note that there are three “group” styles and three “item” styles, representing the main menu, submenu and deeper submenus of your menu.

Also, you can add the little square image on the left of the text using the “Foreground Image” property. In general, I guess you just need to play around with AllWebMenus a bit in order to find out all the possibilities.

Here is a problem I found which has to do with WordPress.

Due to the number of sites that get hacked because of plugins written that allow echo in the php code which will allow a hacker to gain access through a php weakness.  I always recommend wp-security to people.

Problem is as you can see in this screenshot that AllWebMenus shows that it has a major weakness in the php script which could allow a hacker to hack the site.

Thank-You,

Dear John,

I tried installing the “wp-security” and checking our plugin, but I was not able to do so. It seems that the plugin I got does not check other plugins.

Can you give me more info on (or a URL where I can get) this plugin? Is it the “WP Security Scan” aka “WSD security” or are you referring to some other plugin?

Still, I see from the screenshot that the problem found was the “eval” statements. I do not see how the specific eval statements that we have could be used as a security hole, and I have a feeling that the plugin just triggers an alert on the occurrence of the word “eval” regardless of how it is used. In this case, I would call this a “false-positive”.

In any case, if you give me more info I will be able to further investigate this issue.

Hello again,

I downloaded and checked this plugin and indeed it generates a warning on all our plugins because they use the “eval” function. This is in no way dangerous or a security threat if you use it correctly. The “security check plugin” however is extremely simplistic and the warning is triggered simply by the existence of the text “eval(“.

I am afraid that we cannot do something to avoid the warning, but I can assure you that it is a “false positive” and is in no way a threat for your security. So, you can use our wordpress menus without any worries.

I rarely update this site but now that I need to, the blueplastic-assets theme has disappeared. Can you help me with this? Thank you.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

The “blueplastic” theme is part of the free ThemePack that you got with your AllWebMenus purchase.

If you re-installed AllWebMenus in a new PC this would not be in the pre-installed menu themes.

Please login to your Likno User Area account and download the free ThemePack (or even better all your licensed themes) in order to access this free menu theme.

Hi Kostas,

I am trying to use the WordPress widget area for the menu.  In your software I've set the menu to be relative to element, as per the directions on the site. Plugins are activated as required.

My confusion is over the names of the various files and menus.  When I compile the menu it gives  the zip file the name awmmenu.zip.   When I try to import from your wordpress plugin, it says that the name is incorrect and should be awmmenu1.zip.  Changing the name to this does allow an import but it does not work.

The way that I've managed to get it to work is to manually unzip the files and place the in the directory and call the folder "menu".  In the wordpress plug-in, I've called the menu "menu" and the menu from the site is called "newmenu"

Sorry, sounds confusing, but really all I'm asking is what is the relationship between:

- the name of the original wordpress menu

- The name given to the plug-in menu

- The name of the exported zip file.

ie which of these needs to be the same, and am I missing something?  Do I have to give the original menu in Allwebmenus the same or different name.

Best regards,

Clive

Dear Clive,

The thing you need to make sure is that the name in the WordPress admin matches the “Compiled menu name” in the AllWebMenus Project Properties:

wordpress menu name

custom compiled menu name

You can change either one to match the other. If these two are set correct, then the generated zip files and everything else will also be correct.

This is also described in the WordPress admin, but it is not that hard to miss it…
