Hello,

There is a small bug
- In IE7 - the menu slips to the right 2px
- In Google Chrome - it slips to the left 1 px
- In Firefox - it slips to the left 1 px, also

Works ok in IE8, IE9, Opera.
Not tested in IE10

Please advice.

Thank you

Hello,

Note that each browser may render the fonts slightly differently and this can cause a with difference.

The best way to ensure that the menu has exactly the same width is to specify it:

main menu minimum width

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt response.

It’s ok now.

For your knowledge this is what I’ve done:

I inserted a new div for IE7 especially, positioned with CSS hack.

I used browser specific offsets for the other browsers. Also I had to set the header font size at 6px (Opera splits the header also, because of the font size).

Best regards,
Adrian

Dear Adrian,

But this way your menu is still differently sized in each browser and you just “center” it with offsets.

If this is what you wanted, you could do it much easier (and more reliably) by selecting “top-center” in the Positioning property.

My recommendation would be to avoid the use of the <span> and Position the menu relative to the <div> with id="meniu".

Also, if you prefer, you can set it to be “top-center”, but I would also set the minimum width to 962px to make sure that it has the same width in all browsers.

This way you will not need any special offsets nor any CSS hacks.
