Bought the latest version of Allwebmenus but can't get it to appear in Dreamweaver CC.

Tried the .zxp extension, but it said it "cannot be installed" because "it requires Dreamweaver version 6 or greater." I have the latest version of Dreamweaver, so what is happening, please?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Andy,

In order to install AllWebMenus DreamWeaver  Add-in:

1. Go to this page: http://www.likno.com/wat_dreamweaver.html and download AllWebMenus DreamWeaver Add-in.

2. Extract "AllWebMenus-DW.zip"

3. Open "Adobe Extension Manager CC" and Click on "Install" .

4. A Dialog Box will appear, choose the "LiknoAllWebMenus.zxp" and then click on "Open".

Note that during the above procedure, DreamWeaver CC should be closed.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you!

Support Case Month: October 2012

Hi, I have been a user for many years (and have also had Bit Defender for many years) and have never run into this issue when trying to download the latest version.

Is there a virus issue with the latest version? If you are sure there is not how can I download it?

BitDefender 2011

This web page has been blocked by BitDefender Antivirus Real-time Protection!

The web page blocked by BitDefender included objects that were either infected or likely to be infected with a virus. Your system has NOT been infected.

Hello,

This is definitely a false-positive as we always double-check our products with multiple antivirus products and we also submit them online to some of the most known companies (such as Symantec), so I can assure you that our files are clean. It has happened in the past however (although rarely) that an antivirus (especially free ones) has produced an alert on their heuristics scan. Note that this is not when the antivirus claims it found a virus, but when it claims that the file is “suspicious” and *may* have a virus. This is usually due to the anti-crack software we use to stop software piracy, as it is sometimes hard even for the antivirus to scan through our code.

In any case, I again assure you that our files are 100% safe. You can also check the latest online scan in virus total here:

The solution in this case is to either add the installer into your antivirus “white-list”, or to temporarily disable your antivirus during the AllWebMenus installation.

Let me know if you run into any more problems.

Dear Brian,

I just downloaded BitDefender 2013 in order to test it and see what the problem is. I found that only when clicking on the first mirror download I get this message (everything else works fine):

Bitdifender error

If this is also what you get, then you can simply go around it by selecting the “take me there anyway” link. You can also click on the “+” button (top-left) in order to do a detailed search which shows that the page is indeed trusted!  (I really do not understand why they block our page then…)

Anyway, this is mostly to let you know that we are looking into this issue with more detail and are still trying to contact BitDefender (but they do not respond) regarding their bug.

We will let you know as soon as we have a definite answer from them.

Support Case Month: March 2012

Dear Support,

I have been using your program for a couple of years now and never had a problem getting a menu to display in the correct location. But today I am stumped. I have the codes inserted into the html of the page and wish the menu to show directly to the right of the logo in the white space that shows as empty now. But instead it appears first thing on the page above the logo and left aligned. Can you see anything incorrectly I am doing? Your expertise is appreciated.

Regards,

Robyn

Hello,

I checked your page and it seems that the positioning of the online compiled menu is set to “Relative to Window”.

I believe that you wanted to use the “Relative to Image” positioning option instead.

Please double-check the Positioning property in your project and make sure that you have uploaded the latest compilation of your menu.

Initial Email Subject: Populating menu through UL/LI items
Support Case Month: March 2012

I am unable to get the menu to display at all using the CSS Menu/populating menu using UL/LI option.  Menu compiles and works fine using default menu structure.  I want the menu to be able to be used/viewed on smart phone but I am getting an error message.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

The problem is that you are using a UL/LI list generated from a JavaScript Menu to populate a CSS Menu.

Specifically there are two things that cause a problem:

1) The UL/LI has “display: none;”. As such the menu will never show.

2) Item 2.1 does not have a link, and all items are required to have a link (even if empty).

Both of these have also been fixed on our side and the fixes will be included in the next AllWebMenus release (in a couple of days). Until then, you can simply fix these two things in your menu structure if you want to see the CSS.

Example of fixed UL/LI code:

                                <ul id="awmULLI-menu">

                                                <li><a href="index.html">Home</a></li>

                                                <li><a href="item1.html">Item 1</a></li>

                                                <li><a href="item2.html">Item 2</a>

                                                   <ul>

                                                     <li><a href="#">Item 2.1</a>

                                                       <ul>

                                                         <li><a href="item_211.html">Item 2.1.1</a></li>

                                                         <li><a href="item_212.html">Item 2.1.2</a></li>

                                                         <li><a href="item_213.html">Item 2.1.3</a></li>

                                                         <li><a href="item_214.html">Item 2.1.4</a></li>

                                                       </ul>

                                                     </li>

                                                     <li><a href="item_22.html">Item 2.2</a>

                                                     </li>

                                                   </ul>

                                                </li>

                                                <li><a href="item3.html">Item 3</a>

                                                </li>

                                                </ul>

For menu positioning you always had the option to use your own (custom) ID, through the Custom ID option. For example, you may be using a Content Management System that already applies its own "id" tag to every page element, thus not allowing you to add the AllWebMenus Default ID to your selected element. In that case, you simply copy this "id" of your selected element and paste it as Custom ID in AllWebMenus.

Alternatively (since Build #878), you can use a Custom "Class" instead of an "ID", in case that your authoring tool or CMS does not allow you to edit the "ID" attribute (or the "ID" values change dynamically) but does allow you to add/edit the "Class" attribute.

menu positioning with class

For example, if you select the "Custom Class:" option and add the menupositioner value there, you can then use this code in your page to achieve menu positioning:

<span class="menupositioner">&nbsp;</span>
