Dear Bill,

It seems that this is a Chrome bug related to embedded frames. I will have a look to see if it can be avoided, but I do not yet know if this is possible.

Support Case Month: August 2012

Please go to  http://www.designsaroundyou.com/  and please do the following:

(1) Click on Privacy and Terms & Condition (at the bottom).

(2) Use the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of the modal window and then scroll back up.

After doing this step 2, there are lines appearing within the modal window. This only happens in Google Chrome. Can you fix this?

Thank you.

Hello,

I just did what you said in Chrome but did not notice any lines, I see it perfectly OK:

Modal Window with scrollbar

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see in Chrome?

I have this Chrome version:

Google Chrome version

Then… wait! I managed to do this by updating my Chrome to version 21. I do see this:

Modal window with line problem

So, it seems that Chrome changed something that causes this problem.

Thanks for your reply. I look forward to your reply next week. Thank you again for checking into this problem.

Dear Pamela,

I performed several tests, and this is not a standard behavior. It seems that each time I scroll up and down, depending on the speed with which I do this I get different lines or no lines at all.

This is definitely a “refresh” bug of Chrome and I am afraid that we cannot do anything about it, as it affects all scrolled iframes and not only our Modal Window.

We will submit a bug report to Google regarding this issue, but I cannot guarantee on when they will fix this.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Dragan,

We know what this is, this has been a bug that was out there for a couple of days. It has been corrected in the latest Build.

Support Case Month: July 2012

Hi,

I use Likno on several web sites with a perfect score of success.  I just love that application.

I finished a web site yesterday and a friend, who tried it, have a problem.  The menu spread and take all the width of the screen, as you can see on the photo attached, and hide the web site itself.  Can you tell me what I must correct?

Thanks

Yves

Dear Yves,

Last week we discovered a minor bug that could cause this in IE in some cases and we have already issues a fix for this.

Please download the latest AllWebMenus, re-compile your project and upload the new compiled files. Let me know if this fixed the problem.

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Accordion Builder, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Dear Support,
I'm having an issue with positioning an accordion in IE8. I am not experiencing the problem when viewing the page in Safari or Firefox.
When the page first displays, the accordion displays about 100 pixels higher on the page that its position, thereby covering screen elements positioned above the accordion location.  As soon as I run the mouse over each accordion header, each header moves to its correct position. I don't have to click a header to make this happen.
Please advise ... thanks!

Hi Kostas,

                The url where we're experiencing the Accordion display problem is within the LearnCenter Learning Management System.  Once in, click the FAQ link in the upper right corner of the screen to go to the page where we're experiencing the problem.  Please also note that sometimes the screen loads ok, but most of the time it doesn't.  The Accordion is contained within a table cell, and we've compiled the Accordion with this setting.

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

Kind regards,

Diane

Dear Diane,

I run several tests on your page and the problem seems to occur randomly depending on how your other scripts load in the page. If I remove the other scripts the problem never appears, and unfortunately I was not able to find which combination it is that causes this.

I have come up however with a “dirty” fix. You can add a timer that waits for the accordion to be loaded and then it closes all the accordion panes. In reality the panes are already closed, but this is enough to trigger a plain refresh that fixes the IE bug. Please try adding the following line in your page:

<script>
      function fixAcc() {
            if (typeof(eis_faqs)=="undefined")
                setTimeout(fixAcc,100);
            else
                eis_faqs.closeAllAccordions();
      }
      fixAcc();
</script>

Let me know if the problem persists.

Kostas
