My client has asked that I put a 'like' button on her navigation.  She has one left and one bottom set of navigation buttons.  I went to facebook and they handed me code but when I try to put it in the menu, the 'like' button does not show - tried just about every way I could think of.  there is nothing in the help that helps.

Here is all the code given to me by Facebook: have no idea and do not want to put in each and every page on the site if I can add to menu.

<div id="fb-root"></div>

<script>(function(d, s, id) {

  var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];

  if (d.getElementById(id)) return;

  js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;

  js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1";

  fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);

}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

<div class="fb-like" data-href="{URL REMOVED}" data-send="false" data-width="120" data-show-faces="true" data-font="arial"></div>

<iframe src="//www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href="{URL REMOVED}" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

Hello,

Please try the following:

<iframe src="{URL REMOVED}" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:180px; height:30px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

But make sure that you turn your menu item into the “Full HTML” mode:

I know I have seen this before, but I can’t find it in your knowledge base?
How do I get the dropdown menu to be in front of my scrolling banner images?
Now they are behind it when you click the navigation button.

Thanks,
Pat

Dear Pat,

You have to add the “wmode=transparent” parameter to your flash applet.

For detailed instructions, please have a look here:

Support Case Month: February 2013

Hi Kostas,

How can I get a Web Modal window to activate with an Input type="Submit" or Type="Image" button with onclick? It works great with a Type="Button". And is there a way to return True/False (or any other value) to the onclick so a button can be used for validation or a Go/No Go from the modal window?

Thanks,
Gus

Dear Gus,

If you have this submit button in a form and want to show the form result inside the Modal Window, then there is a simple way to capture the “on submit” event. You just need to add the correct “target” to your form:

correct target of the form in a modal window

If you just want to show a standard Modal Window, then there are many ways to do this using the element ID, Class or “onclick” method:

modal window on click event

For example: <input type=”image” onclick=”Modal_Window_1();” … />

Finally, regarding returning a value from the modal, this is not possible in the sense of a “confirm” dialog as the modal is not blocking the JavaScript execution.

Still it allows you to run any JavaScript code on exit, so you can do anything you like there (for example check a modal/page element value and act accordingly):

run JavaScript on modal window close

How do I make the menu button to be highlight the particular page eg. if I'm on contact page the "Contact" button is highlighted?  I've done it years ago but now forget how. There was a code  have insert on every page? Does the menu has to be one of the template or will it work if I build one from the scratch?

Thanks,
Hannu

Hello again,

In order to highlight the “current item” you need to check the “Show Item or Group on Appear” property:

highlight current menu item

Hello,
I saw your offer in Giveaway of the day.  Is there a way to use one of your products to create a menu that I can make one edit and all web pages will be updated to the change?  So I don't have to edit the menu file on all 15 pages.
Thanks
Ron

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Ron,

Yes. If you use AllWebMenus, every time you make a change you will need to:

1) open your menu project in AllWebMenus and make your changes

2) hit the “Compile” button

3) upload the compiled files online

This will automatically update all the linked pages.

(Note that you need to Link to your pages once, only the first time that you add the menu.)
