Initial Email Subject: How to get my menu to move
Support Case Month: April 2014

I'm trying to figure out how to get the AllWebMenus menu to move based on the amount of text appearing in a daily message area at the top of the page.
I have a test sited up to figure this out.{URL REMOVED}

So I have a csRandomText code running at the top of the page.  I have loaded it with dummy data.
When you refresh the page, a different amount of letters/line appears, from over 1000 to zero,  keep refreshing the scr4een and you'll see the menu never moves.
The menu is set to Global Position Auto, Window, Top Side Center, 0,260

Two questions:

1 - How do I get it to move up or down, based on the amount of random test in my daily message?

2 - If I wanted the menu to appear at the very top with nothing above it, would I just use the settings  Global, Positioning: Auto, Window, Top Side Center, 0,0 ?
Do you have a screen cast to teach me this?

Does Likno have an AWM instructional course on Lynda.com yet?  That would help.

I can send you the .awm file if you want to see it.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Doc,

I would recommend you to position your menu relative to your image in your header which is called img1.gif
In order to achieve that please go to Menu Positioning -> select Relative to an Image -> type img1.gif and make the settings that best fit your needs.

menu positioning settings

This way your menu will be positioned relative to your header image.

Can i produce vertical accordion/sliding menu with up to 5 levels submenus with this AllWebMenusPro ver. 5.3? All submenus need to stay within the left frame and not extend into the content area on the right. pure and simple: when a menu item is clicked, the list of its submenus slide and open below it, always (just making sure). Is the above possible?

Hello,

Yes, you are able to have 5 level submenus in a sliding menu in AllWebMenus.

Please, find attached a test project to see this menu with 5 level submenus.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

I see the notes on opening modal windows in scroll builder.

My question is can you open a a scroller in a modal window ?

Thanks - Anthony,  been using allmenus for a long time, just bought scroll builder and modal windows builder a week or so ago.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Anthony,

First, thank you for your purchase.

The answer is yes, you are able to have a scroller inside a modal window.

In order to do so, actually you have the scroller inside a page. Then, you set this page as the content of your modal window.

modal window content

The index_lwsc_sample.html holds the scroller.

Note, that you could also have selected  the "Make certain links/forms in page open in this window" in case you need more pages to be loaded in the same modal window.

I have attached a zip folder containing a sample scroller project, the index_lwsc_sample.html, the modal window project and the test.html in which I have linked the modal window. There, I have a link that when you click the modal window appears which has the index_lwsc_sample.html as its content.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Is it possible to create a menu where items will extend across another element of the page? I attached a link to a picture of what I'm try to accomplish.

The menu would extend over the content area bordered with a shadow.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

Yes, you are able to create such a menu.  You have a lot of choices to have image based backgrounds so you can create a menu like the one in the image and also you can set the z-index value of the menu, so you can position it above another page element.

I would suggest you to download AllWebMenus Pro and give it a try (http://www.likno.com/download.html).

We also have a theme that looks similar to the menu you sent me:

Do not hesitate to contact us in any case.

Thank you.

Initial Email Subject: What is the best way to place a likno scroller inside a likno tab, if it is even possible, for fastest loading?
Support Case Month: May 2014

Considering the idea of having a likno scroller playing inside each likno tab and wondered what you would recommend as the best method to do this for the fastest webpage loading (if it is even possible)?

owner of both products - thanks!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Beverly,

You are able to have a scrolle (jQuery slider) inside the tabs content.

I think the best way to do it is by setting both projects (Tabs and Scroller) to DIV population method:

scroller DIV population

tabs population method

Then, you need to link both projects to your page.

You need to place the scroller content code inside the tabs' content code.

I have attached a zip file containing 1 tabs project and 1 scroller project. I have placed the scroller inside the second tab. Edit the page to see the code.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.
