Is it possible to create a menu where items will extend across another element of the page? I attached a link to a picture of what I'm try to accomplish.

The menu would extend over the content area bordered with a shadow.

Hello,

Yes, you are able to create such a menu.  You have a lot of choices to have image based backgrounds so you can create a menu like the one in the image and also you can set the z-index value of the menu, so you can position it above another page element.

I would suggest you to download AllWebMenus Pro and give it a try (http://www.likno.com/download.html).

We also have a theme that looks similar to the menu you sent me:

Do not hesitate to contact us in any case.

Thank you.

Support Case Month: May 2014

Considering the idea of having a likno scroller playing inside each likno tab and wondered what you would recommend as the best method to do this for the fastest webpage loading (if it is even possible)?

owner of both products - thanks!

Hello Beverly,

You are able to have a scrolle (jQuery slider) inside the tabs content.

I think the best way to do it is by setting both projects (Tabs and Scroller) to DIV population method:

scroller DIV population

tabs population method

Then, you need to link both projects to your page.

You need to place the scroller content code inside the tabs' content code.

I have attached a zip file containing 1 tabs project and 1 scroller project. I have placed the scroller inside the second tab. Edit the page to see the code.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

What they want me to do is to have the name of each parish on the pane header and inside an image with the names of the pastor, the youth group and the moderator

They also want to have something like click here that will take the user to either a page about the youth group or to a message page.

Can this be done?  And if so, how?  I can't find any information in the FAQs, but maybe I am asking the wrong question.

Thank you,
Mike

Hello Mike,

The answer is yes, what you ask for can be done in Likno Web Accordion Builder.

As I see you have selected the Example 06 (texture) to begin with.

In this example the Body Source is from an External Page.

One way to achieve your desired result is to change the Body Source to "Embedded" and then you can type your Text/HTML underneath.

So, with you HTML code you can have an image with the names of the pastor, the youth group and the moderator and the links you want.

Hello,

I have the positioning working now on both the desktop and laptop screens.   Made adjustments in CSS and HTML.  Having said this, and the fact that I have four screen versions set up in the project, I really don’t understand how to use this feature.
Do I really need more than the default setting?  If I need to cover other screen sizes, just how do I do that and what resolution values should I use?

Thanks for your help throughout this issue I had.

Darold

Hello Darold,

The responsive feature of AllWebMenus gives you the ability to create 4 different versions of your menu according to screen sizes.

So, you are able to have up to 4 versions of your menu and set the screen size for each version. Then, each version of your menu can have different content, styling, positioning. For example, you might want to have a horizontal menu for the desktop version, but a vertical sliding for the mobile version. Each version covers a range of screen sizes, in this way 4 versions are enough to cover all sizes.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you!

Do you have an example of how to set multiple versions up to include a mobile version?

Thanks, Darold

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Darold,

If you choose the responsive feature in AllWebMenus and leave the default values are enough to have your menu for Desktop/laptops/tablet/mobile devices.

According to the screenshot below, the version 1 would be served for screens over 960px, this means that this version of the menu will be appropriate for laptops/desktops.

Version 2 will appear in screen between 768px and 959px, so this will appear in tablets on horizontal view.

Version 3 will appear in screen between 480px and 767px, so this will appear in tablets on vertical view.

Version 4 will appear in screen below 479px, so this means in mobile devices.

responsive menu version and dimensions

Is the above of a help to you?

Great explanation. Thank you.  Now… do I have to set up different Content, Styling and positioning for each of these versions?  If so, what are default settings for each?  BTW, the explanation of the Responsive Menus feature would be a great addition to your manual.   Don’t recall seeing this level of detail in it.

Hello Darold,

Indeed you can have different Content, Styling and positioning for each of these versions. If you need to use the same, just use the CLONE functionality after you make a change to one of these, it is very handy:

clone feature in responsive menu

If you mean default settings for the width, you will find them there but you can change them to anything you like. The other default values are the ones that a non-responsive menu would have.

I think I'm getting the hang of this!

Question 1: The link at top left that reads "Travel" - can I change the name and link in the style menu? If so I can't seem to find it.

Question 2: Do I have the option of getting rid of the "Travel" link altogether so it's just a blank space there?

Rich

Hello Rich,

Answer 1 & 2:    You need to go to Style Editor, then Areas and click on Content of the Top Area. Then you need to remove all the code except the word "Travel" or you can write anything you want to appear in the top area.

scroller top area content

I may have misunderstood your directions. When I left "Travel" it read "Travel" in the top which I don't want. Then I decided to delete all the code, but now part of the top and bottom of the scroller are gone. Is there a way I can get it to just be a blank, grey bar? Like, just the way it normally looks, but without the big "Travel" word/link?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Rich,

I am sorry if I confused you.

This is what you should do to achieve what you want.

Step 1:  Go to Style Editor -> Areas, Click on Top Area Content and delete all the code it had (or leave it empty if you already have it empty).

top area content in jquery slider

Step 2:  Click on Top Area CSS, go to the height property and set it fixed 42px;

jquery slider top area CSS properties

Then the result will be this, as you wanted it to appear:

jquery slider
