Upgraded Accordion Builder on new machine, got activation code (which wouldn't paste in by the way, I had to enter it manually). Why can't I specify the target URL in Project Properties so it shows up online? It shows fine on localhost, however localhost/IPs... indicates trial mode, which it shouldn't, I paid for it.

Thanks,
Art

Hello Art,

According to the paste issue, is there any chance that you have Webroot Secure and it blocks the paste in our software?

You may want to read that blog post: http://www.likno.com/blog/unable-to-paste-in-likno-builders/4541/

Did you get a new Activation Code when you allocated the yourdomain.com domain?

If not, then you should get a new Activation Code so that it applies the changes and you will be able to see this domain in the Project Properties when you try to Compile your project.

You should choose that domain and compile your project.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Thank you.

It worked. Sure enough, Webroot Secure was denying liknowebaccordianactivationtool.exe. Good call. I allowed Protection for the file on Webroot Secure, got a new activation code and it all worked like it’s supposed to.

Thanks a million,
Art

Hi Aggelos,

Regarding problems with Web Scroller on our website.

We have compiled the scroller project for our domain and we have uploaded the compiled files. However, the scroller does not display online despite the fact the it shows on localhost.

Simon

Hello Simon,

It seems that you have some missing images (bullets I guess...). That can cause the scroller not to display online as it loads on a different way live than on localhost.

Please, upload those images to the specified path and let me know how that worked.

Thank you!

Thanks Aggelos,

It was a path problem. The path should not contain the cgi-bin to those images ( it's to do with how our shopping basket works ), so I looked in the project and changed the paths to start with a '/' before the PDGCommTemplates and that solved the problem.

Thanks again for your help.

How do I get modal windows to always load over the top of a modal window instead of inside a modal window?

modal window trigger code

modal window open and trigger code

third modal window trigger code

Then referral fee opens inside this modal.  Why?

modal window open inside another modal window

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Bill,

The reason that you see this modal window open inside the previous one is due to browser security issues. As you see at the error below, they are considered as different domains, so it does not allow it to open outside of the iframe.

In order to solve that, you should make sure that you use the same domain everywhere, foxmls.com or www.foxmls.com.

Hi,

long-timer user of allwebmenus. I was looking through the add-ins trying to find a way to do something with a particular menu.. and saw this add-in.

Two questions, if I use it for a photo slide show with text at the bottom, how many slides/windows are feasible in one instance before there is a degradation of performance (assuming an older processor, WinXP as a baseline)?
Also, I'm thinking of one particular domain I'd use it on to start, so the 3-domain license would work to start. Do I ID the domains during the purchase process, or can I add the other two as I go along?
And finally, if I want to go beyond 3 domains, can I upgrade my license?

Thanks!
David

Hello David,

There is no limit on how many slides you can have to load in your modal window. It's up to you to use optimized content  so it loads perfectly in all PC's (even with not much power).

You can also use the AJAX Loading Info so it shows a pre-loader while the image is loading.

ajax pre-loader in modal window

In order to allocate domains you need to log in to your user area account and go to Likno Web Modal Windows Builder (or any other application you want) and click on Get Activation Code – Allocate Domains

allocate domains

Then you click on Allocate in order to allocate the domain you want.

So the answer is, you don't need to allocate domains on purchase, you do that when you need to allocate a domain.

You can start with a 3 domain license and when you need to upgrade to unlimited you are able to do so.

In order to upgrade your license you need to go to your user account area and click on Upgrade License – Extend your Update/Support Plan

upgrade the license plan

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Hi - do you sell a product that can allow me to create a photo gallery like this one? http://www.usatoday.com/story/cruiselog/2013/05/29/msc-preziosa-cruise-ship-photo-tour/2368547/

Hello Rich,

First, thank you for your interest in our Likno products.

We have Likno Web Scroller Builder http://www.likno.com/jquery-scroller/index.php

We recently launched a new version that has the Image Scroller feature (populate images through DIVs, UL/LI, inside project, Flickr, Picasa).
Please, download it http://www.likno.com/jquery-scroller/download.php and give it a try. Open the examples and check the image scroller option to see on preview some examples. You can also create a new one to see how it can fits your needs.

Thank you!

Hi

I was on vacation last week, so this is the first chance I've had to try this. I haven't been able to get anything to show online - is that because I'm using a trial version? Are there any instructions?

Rich

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Rich,

Hope you had fun in your vacation.

As long as you use Likno Web Scroller Builder in a trial mode you will not be able to publish the sliders for any other domain except the localhost.

Create any slider you would like starting from the example it best fits your needs. When you finish the slider, press the "Publish" button (see image below).

publish scroller project

The following form will appear, here you can choose the publish folder, the publish sample page (you can leave it as it is) and the name of your compiled project.

Then, you can choose if it is going to be for a generic website or a WordPress website.

Then, you choose localhost as the domain and click on publish.

jquery scroller project properties

A sample page should open that contains the slider you have created.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

Thank you!
