I upgraded to unlimited for tabs and help. How do i add "{URL REMOVED}"?

Hello Bill,

If you have the unlimited you do not need to add anything. You just update your installation with the new Activation Code and the application knows that the license is for "unlimited" domains. So you just compile and it works.

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Scroller Builder,  abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Initial Email Subject: Web Scroller does not show up on online webpage
Support Case Month: March 2013

Hello,

I am able to see the web scroller offline, as I build it, it works fine. I have purchased a license, activated it, and then recompiled it, and have uploaded all appropriate files to my host. I can see the web scroller tags in the source code on the page. It does not load. Can you help?

Thank you,
Mary

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Mary,

This happens because you have compiled your scroller project for “localhost”:

scroller compiled for localhost

If you purchased a 3-domain license, then you need to specify for which domain you are compiling each time.

Please go to the Compile Properties of your project and select the appropriate domain from the combo box:

scroller domain

If this combo box only shows “localhost” then you need to take a new Activation Code (don’t worry, this does not count towards your activation limit) in order to pass the online license info into your installation. You will need to do this again if you add more domains online.

As you can see from the attached image  I do have it compiled for the localhost AND the specific domain..{URL REMOVED}
The order in which I did things,
make sure it was to be compiled for localhost AND {URL REMOVED}
link to specific page in website
save
close program
open ftp
transfer all files from local to website.
I have done this numerous times and it still does not show up in the online website

Thanks, Mary

Dear Mary,

The process should be:

1) make sure the domain is correct

2) Compile (not Link)

3) upload

The Link is only required once in order to attach the Linking Code to the page. The Compile is required each time you change something in your project.

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Modal Windows,  abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Support Case Month: January 2013

I've created a modal slideshow using a provided sample project.  When testing on the local PC, the modal opens without issue.  After uploading the webpage an all related files, and then clicking the link, nothing happens.  I've used the ID of "pm1" as the trigger when click for both the image and this text "1 January 2013 | Solidworks Designed and Laser Cut". on the page.

Could you please take a look at the provided webpage to let me know where the issue is?  Thank you for your quick attention to this.

~Michael

Dear Michael,

It seems that you have compiled your modal windows only for “localhost”:

Please make sure that you have selected “Unlimited” in the compile properties:

What a rookie mistake. I've done plenty modals and must have simply overlooked this, even though it was staring me in the face.

Initial Email Subject: menu won't display on blogger site
Support Case Month: December 2012

We were able to successfully set up a working menu on our third party server, where the js and image files are hosted: example.com

We then recompiled and re-linked the files for site.com and pasted the menu code, with absolute paths for the js files, on a new page: site.com/p/blog-page.html

The menu however does not display on the site.com site.

Do the JS files need to be compiled for example.com or site.com?

Thank you for your help!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

In order for this to work, your tree files must be compiled for the domain in which the tree will be shown (not the domain in which the compiled files reside).

I noticed that you used the following ID:

id="Sparkys Answers Blogger Menu"

I believe that spaces are not accepted in IDs and that this is the reason your tree menu does not show. Please try correcting this and let me know if it fixed the problem.

I am testing my new environment.  I noticed the modal windows are not opening on top but within a window.  Is there a reason why?

link to a modal window

It opens inside:

modal window opens in an overlay window

At my original site it look like:

proper opening of the modal window

Dear Bill,

The modal library will always try to break out of frames and cover the whole page. However this is not always possible due to security restrictions of each browser.

My guess is that the pages you are loading are not all from the same domain (e.g. your page is on “50.63.158.20” but the page you call in the tab is coming from “foxmls”).

If this is the case, then it would be a “security breach” for the browser to allow the modal to alter the parent page in any way (e.g. cover it with the overlay).

Please make sure that all the pages are coming from the exact same domain.

Kostas
