Hello:

I have created a very large website with different sections of the website placed sub-folders. With the Dreamweaver Extension can I have each page in a menu in it's own sub-folder?

I am converting from Microsoft Expression web to Dreamweaver. In Expression web I can copy CSS menu links from one page to another and the program corrects the URL tree. Dreamweaver will not correct the URL in this way. In Dreamweaver I must relink all links. So this process takes an instant in Expression web but takes forever in Dreamweaver.

Will your program allow me to put the same menu on a different page without relinking all the links?

Thank you for your time

Mark

Hello Mark,

You can link your menus easily through AllWebMenus.

When you have finished editing your menu, you Compile it and then you Link Menu to your pages. You can click "Link Menu" and then select all the pages you need to link that menu to, from the left panel and then click on right arrows to transfer them in the right panel. The right panel contains all the pages you want to link the menu to. When you have selected all of them, click Link and you are done. This process will link the menu to your pages, relative to your Site Root. So, you don’t need to change any link on your own.

Hi everybody

My name is Peter, also known as Dr. Z. I'm in the process of updating the visual appearance of our website.

A website was developed in Dreamweaver with Firefox in 1998 through 2000.
I've not been able to use the AllWebMenus with the Dreamweaver templates which our website is based on.
As you can see, currently I'm positioning the menu below the main image on the page.

That works quite nicely as you can see here on the test server {URL REMOVED}
the currently functioning website is {URL REMOVED}

The only problem is: different folders have different main images with different image names.

Is there a solution to this?
In other words can I position the menu on different pages relative to different images?

If the answer is yes, please tell me how to do this.
I've tried to position the menu relative to a page element in the Dreamweaver template.

Every time I do that, most of the template somehow disappears.

This may have to do with the fact that there  are no body tags  in the template.
Please respond to me soon... I hope this is solvable.

Hello Peter,

As I see in your new page the whole page is based in this table:

<table width="800" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bordercolor="#000000"
border="0" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" align="center">

My recommendation would be to position your menu based to this, which I guess is the same in all of your pages. Give this table an ID and set the proper menu positioning in AllWebMenus.

For example:  In menu positioning select the default ID and then set the offsets of your desire to fit your design and then your code should have this ID

<table id="awmAnchor-menu" width="800" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"
bordercolor="#000000" border="0" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"  align="center">

menu positioning

Or you could do that with another element that will be in all of your pages.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Aris

Hi Aggelos,

Thanks for your help.

So basically I followed your advice and inserted a table with the menu ID in the Dreamweaver template.
It works well.

Thanks very much.

My best,
Peter

Initial Email Subject: how to unlink accordion project code in non-editable region?
Support Case Month: April 2012

I use Dreamweaver with a master template. You inserted the code for my accordion project immediately following the body tag in a NON-EDITABLE portion of my index.htm file. I changed the name of the project, recompiled and relinked it to the index.htm file. now i cannot remove the older project code because it is NON-EDITABLE. there is not "unlink" button. So, if i edit the index.htm file with a text editor to remove that older code of yours, what else must i remove?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

The Linking Code should look like this:

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR likno_accordion_project ******** -->
<script type="text/javascript">var lwacLinkedBy="LiknoWebAccordion [1]",lwacName="likno_accordion_project",lwacBN="230";</script><script charset="UTF-8" src="likno-scripts/likno_accordion_project.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- ******** END LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR likno_accordion_project ******** -->

In the highlighted text your linking code should have the old project name that you don't want any more. So, delete the above lines of code. Also, you might want to delete from your server the old .js file and the old accordion subfolder so you won't have extra files you don't actually need.

Thank you!

Hi Guys,

Please would you have a look at this menu project file and the DreamWeaver template page and let me know why this menu is not showing?

I have included the Dreamweaver template page in the zipped project file.

Much Appreciated

Brent

Hello Brent,

The problem is the menu positioning. You have set the menu to be positioned relative to an element that has the class="drcammenu" but in your template you have no such element. Instead, you have an element with this name but on ID. (as seen in screenshots below).

menu position relative to an element class

Please, change the positioning of your menu to be relative to this element but ID instead of a class. Recompile it and it will be fine.

Email Subject: positioning problem with fluid grid layout
Support Case Month: May 2013

I am trying to use your product with DreamWeaver cs6 (creative cloud membership) and trying to use a fluid grid layout.  I have the menu named navigationmenu to be embedded within
<div id="navigationmenu" class="fluid"> &nbsp; </div>.
It positions within the element id correctly on a normal desktop view, however when i resize the window to simulate an iphone or ipad or android tablet (and same thing happens on these devices), the positioning "shifts" to the right.  I am experiencing the same issue with IE and Firefox as well as safari. I need help!!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

It seems that you have different positioning settings in each responsive version. Please double check this and if required “clone” your Positioning settings from version 1 to the other versions:
