I created a dynamic menu for Joomla with the menu positioned by  a div element (#page). The menu displays correctly in Firefox 27.0.1, IE 9 but not in Chrome. It displays about 28px higher than where it needs to be. I also tried to position relative to a image with the same results. Help!

Hello Steve,

Please, remove that specific offset Y for the Chrome.

menu specific offsets

Then, re-compile your menu project and re-upload the produced files to your server.

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you.

Hi Guys,

Please would you have a look at this menu project file and the DreamWeaver template page and let me know why this menu is not showing?

I have included the Dreamweaver template page in the zipped project file.

Much Appreciated

Brent

Hello Brent,

The problem is the menu positioning. You have set the menu to be positioned relative to an element that has the class="drcammenu" but in your template you have no such element. Instead, you have an element with this name but on ID. (as seen in screenshots below).

menu position relative to an element class

Please, change the positioning of your menu to be relative to this element but ID instead of a class. Recompile it and it will be fine.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have a modal window project and I need to open the modal window in different width/height each time. How can I do that with your new data-lwmw-width and data-lwmw-height attributes?

Thanks

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

You can call (open) the modal window in different width/height as:

<a href="#" target="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="500px" data-lwmw-height="40%">Open Modal Window (500px width)</a>

and you can have another element that opens the same modal window in different dimensions.

<a href="#" target="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="auto" data-lwmw-height="auto">Open Modal Window (auto)</a>

and so on, you can use different width/height values each time you call the modal window.

The above links will open the modal window with a width of 500px and height of 40% in the first case and with auto width and auto height in the second case.

or if you use an ID or a Class to trigger the modal window

<span id="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="500px" data-lwmw-height="40%">Open Modal Window (500px width)</span>

<p id="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="auto" data-lwmw-height="auto">Open Modal Window (auto)</p>

<span class="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="500px" data-lwmw-height="40%">Open Modal Window (500px width)</span>

<p class="Modal_Window_1" data-lwmw-width="auto" data-lwmw-height="auto">Open Modal Window (auto)</p>

You can also use TD, DIV, IMG, INPUT to trigger the modal window.

For the data-lwmw-width and data-lwmw-height you can have any value you want as long it is px or % or you can have it as auto.

Thank you!

Hi Kostas,

You told me how to fix an issue that I was having but the email was lost or deleted.

Let me quickly explain. The main menu across the top of the page goes a bit over the right side of the page border. This only shows up on other computers not mine. It was brought to my attention by one of our employees. I noticed it on my computer and asked you about it, you told me how to fix it, when I went to fix it, it looked okay and it still does on my computer. I even refreshed it, cleared all cookies and history and still looks fine on my computer, but on others it goes over the edge. I told the others to refresh it, cleared all cookies and history and it still looks the same on there computer?

I would take a screen shot but it still looks okay on my computer?

How does it look on your side?

How can I fix this?

I attached the menu if you need it.  You can always edit it if that is easier and let me know what you did.

Thanks Again!!

Robert

Dear Robert,

In order to correct this problem, please change the positioning to “top side center” for both the menu and the element anchor:

Hi,

Sorry it’s me again, not sure if I’m just pushing this program to it’s limits but I thought it would make a great youtube playlist.

So why does this work http://www.anbpartners.com/index_lwsc_sample.php and this not http://www.anbpartners.com/index_01.php

Regards Colin

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Colin,

Check the 2 screenshots:

positioning element exists in page

positioning element does not exist in page

In this page http://www.anbpartners.com/index_01.php the scroller is not displayed as it cannot find
the element
<div id="youtube_playlist"></div>
You have set the scroller to be positioned relative to the above element.
That's why on the sample page it works, as it finds this element.
Please, correct this and check it again.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Thank you!

Hi Guys,

Sorry I apologise I’ve found out what is happening here my editor doesn’t like

<div id="youtube_playlist"></div> and deletes it,

if I use <div id="yout"></div> it works fine.

My editor doesn’t like open close div without anything in between, I can do it if I put the div in a table see below

<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

    <tr>

        <td width="1135">

                <div id="yout"></div>

        </td>

    </tr>

</table>

Hello Colin,

Still, you could use a div as you wanted. Just add &nbsp; in between so it does not translate it as empty.

So it should look like this:

<div id="yout">&nbsp;</div>

Thank you!
