In Likno Web Modal Windows Builder I would like to use the API calls but I get the following error message:

Uncaught ReferenceError: myModalName is not defined

I have created my Modal Window project, I have compiled it and linked it to my pages.I have written the script following your instructions for the modal window API, but I still get the above error. What I have done wrong?

Hello,

According to your project the name of your modal window is Modal_Window_1, not myModalName that is why it is not recognized.

jQuery modal window

You are trying to assign parameters to a modal window with the name myModalName but this does not exist. The modal window in your project is Modal_Window_1 so this is what you should use instead of myModalName.

You may want to see more information about the Modal Window API here:
http://www.likno.com/downldd/Modal_Windows_API.pdf

Thank you!

Good morning:

I'm trying to compile a new Modal Window project.  I want to use a custom project name.  The name I'm using is likno_wings1.js.

I get an error pop-up that says: "The name you specify is not valid. It should start with a letter and have letters, numbers or "_" only."

The name I'm using "likno_wings.js" appears to qualify.  What am I doing wrong?

Thank you,

Nelson

Hello Nelson,

you added the ".js" in the filename but you do not need it, as it is inserted by default at the end (outside the field). Just remove the ".js" from the filename.

Thanks.

Hello,

after updating my Allthewebmenu program, i become a pop up with: "it looks like you have an incompatible version of server-Side Menu API installed".

I can't solve the problem by visiting the site www.likno.com/addins/dhtml-menu-serverside.html.

Greetings,
Harrie

Getting this error when trying to compile for a second time.Created a menu and it compiled fine the first time.  Now on subsequent tries I get the File/Path Access error...as if I don't have permissions to overwrite those files that AllWebMenu 5 Pro created. I am and admin and created this folder in subfolder off my Documents folder. Not using any editor/plugin as I'm using Komodo for html editing.I can delete other files in this folder just not the menu files.Running Windows 8. Hello,

Did you try deleting the files manually? If you are not able to do this, then it means that you indeed do not have enough permissions. Then only reason I can think of (and this is far-fetched) is this:

You installed AllWebMenus and run is straight from the installer, so it run “as administrator”. Now you are logged in as a user with super-user (but not real admin) permissions and you cannot remove the files of another user (the admin). I recommend that you try running AllWebMenus “as administrator” and see if can then overwrite the files it created.

Please let me know how this worked out.

I did try and delete them manually...no go.

I decided to just duplicate my website folder and compile new into that.

It worked and more importantly it worked when I did a second compile...no error.

So not sure what the deal was with that one folder/files but hopefully I'm okay now.

Thanks

Hello again,

I am glad everything works in the new folder.

Regarding the old folder, you can try opening a Windows Explorer “as administrator” and using this to delete it.

Let me know if you run into any more problems.

Support Case Month: June 2013

I just paid to update AllMenus Pro to Version 5.3.912 on 21 June, which I believe entitles me to some more support. I followed your instructions to activate the software, which appeared to work properly.
However, when I bring up AllWebMenus Pro, I get an error message:
"It looks as if you have an incompatible version of Server-Side Menus API installed. Please download and install the latest version from ...".
According to your website, I believe that having downloaded 5.3.912 should have provided me the latest version of the Server-Side Menus API as well. I repeated the downloading and activation of AllMenusPro, but
I still get the same error message. Please advise me what I should do next.

Uninstalling and reinstalling AllWebMenus Pro seems to have resolved the problem.

It is a wonderful product!
