Dear Costas,

My Menu is often too large (width too big), so that users have to scroll left in order to see all menu points.

What can I do to fix it.

I seriously searched in FAQ and Help but could not find solution.

Best regards,
Andy

Hello Andy,

Please check this property, maybe you can decrease it a little?

menu item minimum size

If this does not work then it may be something else, just export the project (File->Export as Zip) and send it to us.

Best Regards,
Kostas

Hi, I bought your Allwebmenus pro and am satisfied with it. However, I made cross frame menu and found that it worked at any browsers except Chrome. Would you please tell me how to fix it?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Can you please send us the URL so that we can check your menu? Normally there shouldn't be any problems with Chrome.

Hello Kostas,

Thank you for your reply.
I checked the browser again and am confused a little bit:
the cross-frame menu only failed to perform on the chrome "in my computer" (os: win7):
chrome in my computer ->failed
chrome in other computer ->ok
chromium (linux) ->ok
IE in any computer ->ok
Firefox in any computer ->ok
Safari in any computer ->ok
Opera ->ok

maybe i will check again and let you know if it keeps happening. thanks!

Hello,
Can you please check if you have any addins that may be affecting your Chrome?
The best way to test for this is to disable them one by one until you find which one causes the problems.
If this is the case, please let us know so that we can contact the addin developer and find a solution.

Kostas

hello,
i found the problem happens only when i tried to view the page from local driver. Thus, the problem might be derived from win7.
thanks

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

I am glad to hear that you resolved the issues you had.

Regarding Chrome and local files, keep in mind that this may be due to the increased security features of Chrome, which may block different local files from interacting with each-other through frames.

The same would be true for online files if they come from different domains (note here that “likno.com” and “www.likno.com” may be considered a different domain in Chrome!).

However in local files the security is increased so they may be blocked from interacting with each other, even if they are in the same folder.

Dear Customer Support,

I love your product and am using it on my site to create menus. It's great, except one thing ........ It doesn't show up in IE. What is the fix?

I found a forum where a guy had the same problem, but his fix did not work. Please help. I have a large Ecommerce site I'm using this on. Time is Money.

Thank you,

Dear Sophlili,

Can you please try recompiling your menu with the latest AllWebMenus version?
Please download the latest AllWebMenus version, install it on top of your existing version and recompile your menu. Then make sure that you upload both “menu.js” and the “awmdata” folder.

Let me know how this works out.

We currently have AllWebMenus Pro Ver 5.2 #808 on our website. We do not have any contact info for the old web developer and we are trying to fix the menu drop downs in IE 9. The domain is nazunitedway.org. Is there a fix for this, or do we need to upgrade to the latest version 5.3. You can take a look at the site and see it doesn’t work in ie9.

Let me know how I should proceed.

Thanks,
Brian

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Brian,

indeed there have been many changes and support of new browser versions since then. See here:

http://www.likno.com/whatsnew.html

So you will have to get the latest version of AllWebMenus and just re-compile your menu. I hope you do have the source .awm project file of the menu, because you will need this in order to re-compile.

I have located the .awm file. Once I purchase the new version how do I upload the menu to the site via FTP?

Thanks,

Brian

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Brian,

Once you purchase the new version, you will Compile your project again. This will produce some JS files (by default a "menu.js" file and an "awmdata" folder).

You can directly upload these to your server with your favorite FTP application. (or if you are using Dreamweaver, Expression Web etc. these usually have their own uploading tools)

Support Case Month: July 2012

Hi,

I use Likno on several web sites with a perfect score of success.  I just love that application.

I finished a web site yesterday and a friend, who tried it, have a problem.  The menu spread and take all the width of the screen, as you can see on the photo attached, and hide the web site itself.  Can you tell me what I must correct?

Thanks

Yves

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Yves,

Last week we discovered a minor bug that could cause this in IE in some cases and we have already issues a fix for this.

Please download the latest AllWebMenus, re-compile your project and upload the new compiled files. Let me know if this fixed the problem.
