Hello Roman,

Please, add a valid DOCTYPE declaration to your page.

Go to your pages and insert as the very first line of each page the:

<!DOCTYPE html>

DOCTYPE declaration

This will solve this issue in all Internet Explorer versions.

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Kind Regards,

Initial Email Subject: Using two menus on one html page
Support Case Month: April 2014

I am using a straight html page with nothing else on it for testing so I could see if I could use two menus on one page without a conflict.  The only one that shows up on the page is the last one I link. You can see both of them in the code but in this case only the horizontal shows up. Can you tell me how to fix this please.  My page is behind a firewall so you can't see it but here is the code that was generated by linking the menus.

Hello Jeannie,

Please, check the positioning of your menus. In case you have positioned your menus relative to an element, that element should exist in your page, so that the menu can be displayed.

Thank you.

I figured it out from your mention of the element. Thank you.  Please don’t spend more time on this.

Is it possible to do horizontal submenu in AllWebMenus with the following?

* It must be responsive.
* Submenu stays open on mouse hover.

Thanks

Hello,

For responsive please check here:

For submenu staying open with mousing out of it (isn’t this what you mean?), see here:

Yes, but the submenu has to be horizontal and not vertical as seen here:

The following submenu must be full width of screen and fixed at top always:

Initial Email Subject: Spacing between horizontal menu items
Support Case Month: February 2014

Hey guys:

I'm working in a simple horizontal menu that will have the following five menu items with no submenus

They are:

Home  About Us  Products  Liquor  Contact Us

I would like them to be all spaced the same distance, meaning I would like the About Us item to appear 10 pixels after the 'e' in Home, and the Products item to appear 10 pixels after the 's' in About Us ... &c

However when I set it up, it looks like this:

Home     About Us  Products     Liquor   Contact Us    (Note the spacing)

It seems the size of each item is being driven by the largest text as apposed to each individual text.

How do I get the menu to have each item only as wide as the text in it plus a set spacing?

Thanks

Mike

Hello Mike,

Please, click on Menu Type and uncheck the "Uniform Items" property. This is what makes the menu all the items to have the largest item width.

uniform menu items

Then, you need to re-compile your project and re-upload the produced files to your server.

If the above is not your case, please export and send me your project file, so that we can have a better look at the problem.

This is what you should do to export your project into a ZIP file and then email this ZIP to us.

Thank you.

Support Case Month: January 2014

Hi Folks

I am hoping to get the menu background to fit the horizontal space of the containing <div> as opposed to a fixed pixel width and to have the menu items aligned to the left with a specified gap between

Please advise.

Thanks!
Craig

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Craig,

Please, go to Menu Positioning and check the "Yes, widen group to fit the entire width of", select Element with ID: and in the field next to it type NavBarDiv (as this is the div you refer to).

The next choice is up to you, If you choose "Yes, widen item so that they fit the entire group", your menu items will be widen so they whole menu can take up to your DIV's width.

If you choose "Do, not widen items (Show Background Left/Right)" this way the menu items will stay as you see them in AllWebMenus preview and the rest of the space (to catch the DIV's total width) will be covered with the background color/image you have select in Main Menu Group properties.

widen menu to act as menubar

background properties of main menu group

After you make those changes, you need to re-compile your menu project and re-upload the produced files.

Let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.
