Hello again,

I have some concerns:

Is it possible to change the colors on any of the themes?

Also, can they be changed into whatever type bar I need, even if they aren't initially set up for that format (such as a horizontal theme bar converted into a vertical bar)?

I also notice that there doesn't seem to be a way to have auto-width for the text unless I just missed it, of course.

I'm loving what I see, and I'm hoping that all of your answers are "Yes!" If this is a case in which the purchased program allows for these options, I'm truly appreciate knowing.
Thank you again for all of the time you've spent in helping me!
Alice

Dear Alice,

Regarding your questions:

1) Yes, you can easily change the colors of all text-based themes through the Style Editor. To change the colors of image-based themes however, you will need to edit the images manually in a graphic editor.

2) Yes, you can change the type of the menu at any time (same for each of its submenus) from horizontal to vertical to sliding. Again you can do all this through the Style Editor under the “Type” property.

3) Yes, as a matter of fact the default menu has automatic width based on its text. There are a couple of things you need to check for this:

i) make sure that the Size property of the menu items is set to Auto

clip_image001

ii) make sure that you do not have “Uniform Items”:

clip_image002

I believe that you need to take some time to get to know AllWebMenus. The truth is that although it is very easy to create the first menu, it can be overwhelming to find all of its abilities, just because of the sheer volume (it can practically do anything you want). The best approach, I believe, is to go to the Style Editor and have a look at what you can change there. Then you can load existing Themes or Examples and check on the Style Editor which options are checked to achieve this result.

i am using the wysiwyg webbuilder 8 - works good - and would like to integrate your tools - but as i said - it is difficult.
may be you have some ideas ...if modal will work in a few weeks or months :-( i will try the AllWebMenus.
hope, that i can work it out ...
thanks for helping me ;-)

Dear Michael,

I am afraid I do not know of any websites in German regarding any of Likno’s products!

What I do know is that the guys from WYSIWYG have created a special extension for AllWebMenus that helps with the integration:

http://www.likno.com/wat_wysiwyg_web_builder.html

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge they have not made a similar extension for Modal Window.

Still, If you tell me where you found difficulties with the Modal Window, I would be more than happy to help you out.

Hello Kostas!

With Modal-Window i am still on „war“ – but it will work on it later …I bought your AllWebMenu ;-) And I must say it is great!

I am using the WYSIWYG-Webbuilder with the extension “Allwebmenu” inside. It works fine – I am using it with “complete structure and options of Allwebmenu” – so no Entries inside Webbuilder (Menu-Entries).

But there is a little problem – hope you have a solution.

In the Webbuilder the position of the menu should be left and approx 70px from top.

Top Position is correct, but the horizontal position is not correct – it begins approx 300 px from the left – and so it is on the right outside from my website.

The HTML-Code inside the builded websites of Webbuilder is the following:

<script type="text/javascript">var MenuLinkedBy="AllWebMenus [4]",awmMenuName="awmULLI-headerfooter",awmBN="800";awmAltUrl="";</script>

<script charset="UTF-8" src="headerfooter.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript">awmBuildMenu();</script>

<div id="awmAnchor-headerfooter" style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:63px;width:763px;height:30px;z-index:6">

<div id="headerfooter"> &nbsp; </div>

</div>

</div>

So I think it is correct according to the position?!

What can it be? Do you need some screenshots or something else to check?

Thanks a lot for helping me soon ;-) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards
Michael

Dear Michael,

Your code seems to be correct, but it is possible that something else in the page is causing the horizontal shift to your Positioning DIV (and the menu follows it).

Can you please send me a URL to see your test-page? if this is not available, can you zip and send me your test folder?

Hello!

Now it works!

I have changed the positioning in the allwebmenu project options to “relative window” with offsets according to the placeholder-postion in the webbuilder 8!

Hope you understand? so it is not really comfortable, but it works.

Lucky ;-)

But with the modal window …

I’ll  write a mail later …

Thanks for quick support!

Michael

No problem. Just remember that in order for me to better help you, you need to send me an example so that I can actually see the problem (and not guess blindly).

The best is always to see the online page. If this does not exist, then zipping and attaching the example folder will do the trick.

December 26th, 2012AWM: How to adjust menu width

Initial Email Subject: adding drop down menu to website
Support Case Month: March 2012

Hi.

I am done building my web menu. My coding is set so the drop down menus have an auto width however they aren’t adjusting to the correct widths..some have extra space and others have too little thus forcing the sub menus to become vertical instead of horizontal. Since each Sub Menu has somewhere between 1-3 columns I wasn’t sure how many to put in the style editor. I am wondering if it will in fact still look right on an html page. Which brings me to my other issue. I am planning on adding the menu to an existing site. It’s through Network Solutions, the menu would thus need to appear in the header design coding (to apply to all pages of the site). I’ve been reading through your knowledge bank but keep finding information on linking the menu to a site that has a local root on the desktop, this site does not. The site is http://www.driveinautosound.com.

I’ve attached my menu.

Thank you for all of your help and assistance!

Cheers,
Becky

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Becky,

If you turn the “Menu Structure” option back to “inside this project” you will see that you have set custom widths for most of your submenus:

menu minimum width

This is why these submenus are not becoming vertical, while the ones that do not have a width set become vertical.

There are two solutions for this:

1) change the menu back to “populate inside this project” so that the custom widths are actually active, and set widths for all submenus

OR

2) change your HTML code for each submenu so that it does not “brake”. One way would be to add your DIVs within TDs of a single table row.

If I buy the AllWebMenus Pro can I create menus without purchasing addins? Or do I have to also buy addins to make it work?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Max,

Yes, with the standard AllWebMenus Pro license you can create both horizontal and vertical menus. You will need an Add-in if you want to create Sliding Menus.

Initial Email Subject: Confused about product offer
Support Case Month: July 2012

Hi,

I'm finally getting around to upgrading my AllWebMenus Pro, but I'm confused about what's actually contained in the product.  From the purchase/upgrade page, it looks like floating / sliding / drop-down menus, etc., are all optional and an additional cost beyond the basic product.

Does this mean that the program doesn't have the ability to create any of these types of menus without purchasing the add-ons?  I tried to find a specific list of what's included in the base program, but couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for any help with this...

Terry

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Terry,

Actually there are only two paid Add-ins currently, the “Advanced Floating Menu” Add-in and the “Sliding Menu” Add-in.

All the basic menus (horizontal & vertical) are included in the basic package without any extra cost. You only need to pay extra (to purchase the Add-in) if you want to create a Sliding Menu, or an Advanced Floating Menu (note that “Constant Floating Menus” are also included in the basic package for free).

If you want to see in more detail what the specific Add-ins offer you, have a look at their pages:
