I have added new items (submenu group)
they appear in the "Menu Preview" but not when I preview the site, and not on the net, after publishing.
I have compiled and saved and linked the menu to the chosen site.
I have downloaded the latest version of the AllWebMenus.
please help me, I am about to turn crazy!

Hello Aage,
From that message, it seems that AllWebMenus is not installed properly. Please download it again www.likno.com/download.html and install it making it sure that you have all AllWebMenus instances CLOSED.
Now, concerning the menu online, I see that the compiled menu file "menu.js" is an old file, not the new one. Did you forget to upload it (along with the "awmdata" folder) after you re-compiled your menu with the new items?
Best Regards,
Kostas

Thank You for putting attention to "menu.js" as an old file.
I changed the filename, and voila... the problem was fixed.

I have changed computers and now have Macs instead of Windows PC. I am using version 5 on the Mac with Parallels software installed but I am gradually getting rid of all Windows programs with the notion of using the Mac for everything.
How do I install version 5 on the Mac and keep the menu I have built for my website.
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello,
I am afraid that we do not have a Mac version of AllWebMenus. Since most of our Mac users also have a PC or use a VM without problems, I am afraid it would be too inefficient/expensive/time-consuming to redevelop the whole application from scratch so that it can work natively in Mac. As such, developing a Mac version is definitely not in the plans, at least for now.

Can we transfer a license to another machine?
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello again,
Yes you can. You simply need to install the license in the new machine and get a new Activation Code from your User Area account.

Hi,
From past support answers, I know that we can host the menu on a separate server and on it's own site. We are working on doing just that but my developer asked me to relay this question to you for an answer.
"Can you get in touch with Likno and confirm whether or not we can upload the JS and related files to an accessible server, and then install the menu on Blogger. I successfully embedded a widget to my test Blogger blog. The widget contains links to JS files hosted on a 3rd party server, so in theory, it should work."
Thank you for your time and patience.
Steve

Dear Steve,
We have done similar test in the past. There should be no problem in uploading your JS file in a different server and this should work in Blogger or anywhere else, as long as you are not using the menu in https pages. If you try to do this with https pages then it is considered a security breach as all files must originate strictly from the same server (in this case even “likno.com” and “www.likno.com” are considered different domains!).

I am building a website in windows, but will eventually turn it over to users who will be using MAC. Will the menus I build transfer over to their platform? They will purchase their own license for the product, but wondering if the files will transfer?

Hello Kim,
Unfortunately the installation file is available only for Windows, i.e. the desktop application (the development software) is available only for Windows environments.
However, we do have many MAC customers that use third-party software for emulation, without any problems reported so far.
Here are all your options to run Windows applications on an Intel-powered Mac:
http://www.macwindows.com/winintelmac.html#2a
Important note:
The above "Windows only" restriction is related to the development software only, NOT to the compiled javascripts that are produced by this software and used online on the website. These compiled javascripts are fully functional in MAC browsers (cross-platform) and behave exactly the same as in the Windows (or Linux) browsers.
