I've  purchased another 3 domain modal setups. I've completed the modal menus as required and it works fine  on my computer but not on line.

It says this will only work on my computer, but not on-line only with an I.P. Number address and I need to purchase an update (which I've already just done) before starting the project.

Please advise.

Brian

Hello Brian,

First, thank you for your purchase.

You need to Activate your Likno Web Modal Windows Builder with the updated license.

The steps to do that are:

       1. Install Likno Web Modal Windows Builder (the latest version).

       2. Open Likno Web Modal Windows Builder.

       3. Go to Help -> Enter Activation Code.

       4. Copy the Installation ID and switch back to your likno user area.

       5. Go to Likno Web Modal Windows Builder -> Get Activation Code.

       6. Select the updated license, paste the Installation ID you copied and click "Give me the Activation Code".

       7. Switch back to Likno Web Modal Windows Builder and paste the Activation Code.

       8. Click "Activate" and you are ready to go.

This way you will have the latest version of  Likno Web Modal Windows Builder with the updated license activated and with your allocated domain updated.

So, then you need to open your modal window project and compile it. While you are in the Project Properties window choose to compile the project for your allocated domain.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Kind Regards,

Every time I start AllWebMenus Pro I get a message that it is looking for ClipClear.msi to complete installation. I can't find such a file on my Windows 7 system.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Dennis,

Please, uninstall AllWebMenus and clean your registry.

Then, re-install AllWebMenus Pro. Run the installation as an Administrator (right click on the file -> Run as Administrator).

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you.

Hello,

I am trying to install the Likno Builders in my new Windows 8 64bit PC and although it says that installation was successful, the applications fail to load.

When I try to install the  Likno Builders, it asks me to install the Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5. I let this installation begin, but I always get an error 0x800F906 and I cannot install the required Framework.

What can I do?

Robert

Hello Robert,

The most possible is that you try to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 in a PC which is connected to a domain. This would stop you from downloading the necessary files due to the group policy rights.

Please, read the following Microsoft help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2734782 and follow the steps on Method 2: Configure the Group Policy setting

or you may want to see the steps here:

To configure the Group Policy setting, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Local Group Policy Editor or Group Policy Management Console.
Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012: Point to the upper-right corner of the screen, click Search, type group policy, click Settings, and then click Edit group policy.

Start Group Policy in Windows 8

Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2: Point to the upper-right corner of the screen, click Search, type group policy, and then click Edit group policy.

Open group policy in Windows 8.1

  2. Expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, and then select System. The screen shot for this step is listed below.

The screen shot for this step

  3. Open the Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair Group Policy setting, and then select Enabled. The screen shot for this step is listed below.

The screen shot for this step

  4. If you want to specify an alternative source file, in the Alternate source file path box, specify a fully qualified path of a shared folder that contains the contents of the \sources\sxs folder from the installation media.

Example of a shared folder path: \\server_name\share\Win8sxs

Or, specify a WIM file. To specify a WIM file as an alternative source file location, add the prefix WIM: to the path, and then add the index of the image that you want to use in the WIM file as a suffix.

Example of a WMI file path: WIM:\\server_name\share\install.wim:3
Note In this example, 3 represents the index of the image in which the feature files are found.

  5. If it is applicable to do this, select the Contact Windows Update directly to download repair content instead of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) check box.
  6. Tap or click OK.
  7. At an elevated command prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter to apply the policy immediately:

    gpupdate /force

  8. Restart your PC.

  9. Then, run the Likno Builders installers, this time when you are prompted to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 you will be able to successfully install it, so you won't have any problem with the Likno Builders.

Let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you!

Support Case Month: May 2013

I am in the process of adding a WordPress installation to my web site. I will be needing to maintain *both* handcoded pages AND WordPress pages/posts, and would like to maintain a single menu for *ALL* pages. I have been using AllWebMenus on our site for a while now, and would like to use the existing menu that I maintain on my handcoded pages on my WordPress pages, too. I don't want to control any menu content with WordPress ... I want my regular menu and navigation to stay the same wherever a user is on my site. The WordPress plugin *seems* to be about imposing the WordPress menu structure into the AWM menu ... but I don't want to do that.

Here's a URL for an example of one of my hand coded pages that I will be keeping:
{URL REMOVED}

I would like to place the *SAME* menu into my WordPress header, which you can see here:
{URL REMOVED}

Is this possible to do? What do I need to do to accomplish this?

Thanks!!

Hello,

The WordPress plugin is there only to help you with the integration. It does offer you the ability to use the structure of a WordPress menu, but it does not impose this.

If you set the menu to be “Static” online, then you do not need to import the menu structure at all (you’ll hit the “publish” button in the plugin, but do not import the code into AllWebMenus). Just compile your existing menu for WordPress and upload it using the plugin “publish”.

Furthermore if you want a single compile, you do not even need to install or use the plugin at all. In this case, just manually add the menu Linking Code into the “header.php” of your WordPress Theme.

Just make sure that your positioning is ok. For example if you are using a positioning “Relative to Element” make sure that the specific element also exists in the WordPress pages.
