Hello...love the program, but am having a major issue.  I have attempted to install allwebmenus-wordpress-menu-plugin a couple of dozen times, both through the wp-admin and manually via ftp.  Either way I do it, I get the following ERROR messages:

Clearly, I am unable to activate this plugin.  I even reinstalled the latest wordpress--each time, wordpress indicated that the installation was successful.  Also, prior to installing the "allwebmenus" plugin, all my other many plugins installed without an error and functioned flawlessly.  Also, the same problem occurs if I activate a different theme to see if it was a problem with the theme itself.  While I realize that you are not WP support, I was hoping that you might have run across this problem before, or would at least be able to tell from the errors what the snag might be. Needless to say, I want to use AllWebMenus in my wordpress websites.  Thanks for any help you can give me on this....

Hello,

It seems from the error messages that the plugin does not have enough permissions to work. Specifically in order for the plugin to work, it must be able to edit the “header.php” of your template and add the Linking Code.

You can try manually giving your “header.php” permissions “755” to see if this fixes the problem, or you can try giving all the plugin files (and especially the “include.php” file) full permissions.

Hi,

My wordpress install is at {URL REMOVED}. The menu is dynamically created in wordpress admin area. What i want to do is also put the wordpress menu on my subdomain as well at webmail.{URL REMOVED}. This subdomain uses a different IP address. I want the menu to dynamically update on webmail.{URL REMOVED} when i make changes in {URL REMOVED}. I have the ability to allow external mysql connections. Can you please help me with the code & how & where i should place them as i am a noob at this.

Dear Su,

Is this subdomain part of the same WordPress installation? If so, then you should be able to create an AllWebMenus menu that uses the same population.

If not, then I think the easiest way would be to create a custom WordPress page that will only have the menu and include this in your subdomain pages.

Alternatively, the only way to access the external MySQL would be to use the Server-Side API and write your own code to read the database and create the menu, but this requires advanced coding skills.

Hi,

Yes this subdomain is part of the of the main wordpress installation. WordPress is installed at root of {URL REMOVED} with IP {IP REMOVED} but webmail.{URL REMOVED} where I want to put the menu in a php application is located on IP {IP REMOVED}. Can this be achieved?

The menu does not have a domain restriction, so this should not be a problem.

Dear Su,

I am not familiar with multi-domain  if it is the same WordPress installation I don’t see what the problem is?

I guess you can use the same AllWebMenus menu that you have setup for your current site.

If not, then you can create a second menu with the exact same population parameters, or pointing to the same WordPress menu. This way when you add a page both menus will be updated.

You need to install the application from your User Area account and then get a new Activation Code using the new Installation ID that your new installation will have.

I just purchased Likno Web Button Maker.
Windows server 2003 (.net framework 3.5) 32 bits
Installation is OK.
But the application does not launch.
Computer Management > Event Viewer > Applications > Error :
"Faulting application Likno Web button maker version 2.0.0.162, faulting module msvcr71.dll version 7.10.30.52.4 faulting address 0x00002777
Before writing this message i tried many things :
1) I got many copies of msvcr71.dll on my system (in photoshop install directory, in ms-office installed dir etc...). Replacing the original msvcr71.dll in the system32 folder by any of those copies of msvcr71.dll gives the same error.
2) Putting also msvcr71.dll in "program files\likno web button maker" and in "program files\likno web button maker\res" does not solve the problem.
3) I even tried to register msvcr71.dll manually but it does not seems to be registrable since i get the error "msvcr71.dll was lodaed but the dllserverregister entry point was not found..."

Well, i'll be pleased if you could tell me how to solve that problem.

Hello,

This is the Microsoft C++ runtime library. I suggest that you try re-installing it from here:

Let me know if this worked.

Another thing you may want to try is to try installing Button Maker by using “run as admin” on the installer.

Hello,

If you re-installed windows then you need to get a new Activation Code as your Installation ID will also be changed. You can do this in your User Area account.

I also noticed that you are using a much older version of AllWebMenus (v4) and I wanted to let you know that there are some known issues with the latest Safari and IE browsers. You may want to consider upgrading to the latest AllWebMenus version to resolve any possible issues.
