Hi,
unless we use the compatibility button the menu won't show.I have updated the software and tried other suggestions on the knowledge base but to no rewards.
Can you look into this please?

Hello,

menu library files

It seems that although you compiled your menu with the latest version of AllWebMenus, you forgot to upload the new library files (“awmData-MixMix” folder).

Please upload these too in order to fix the problem, and make sure that you upload them each time you compile (especially when compiling with a newer version).

Kind Regards,
Aris

Hello,

Can you give me some insight as to why the menu on our home page is overlapping other objects?  Again, if I put it in compatibility mode, it looks as it should.

Hello Annette,

This is because your menu is floating and the <td> where you positioned it is not tall enough to fit it. Also since you do not have a valid DOCTYPE, each browser displays this a bit differently (for example in Firefox it looks perfect).

The easiest/fastest solution is probably to make the menu change the height of its positioning element:

menu affects positioning element height

Hello,

MODAL WINDOWS compiled with the latest version – DO NOT WORK IN INTERNET EXPLORER 10  USING BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY MODE BUTTON CIRCLED IN RED BELOW.   You can test by clicking on any of the boats by size scrolling menu or ‘Click for more photos…’ link beneath each boat photo.

This is happening to both recently re-compiled modal windows for {URL REMOVED} (which is only a simple email harvest form) and {URL REMOVED} – which uses Modal Windows extensively.  This particularly customer is quite distressed as this is his busy season and he’s getting a lot of complaints that folks can’t open the modal window boat detail pages….

I need to resolve this issue quickly.   I’ve attached the exported project ZIP file.  If the issue cannot be resolved quickly – I need access to the previous version (or maybe the one before that – not sure how long since I updated the Modal Window software) so I can recompile the code as this issue did not manifest itself before the last upgrade…

Thank you !

Hello JP,

The problem is with the DOCTYPE in your page… you do not have one!

Just add a DOCTYPE at the beginning of the page, for example:   <!DOCTYPE html>

Dear reader,

after the last update of Likno Modal Windows, the Likno Menu stays on top of all objects also the LWMW-layer. Setting z-index of the menu to -1 did solve it for Firefox, Chrome but not for Internet Explorer 10

What to do?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Kind regards,
RuuRd

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear RuuRd,

Where did you set the z-index to -1? I checked your site and I see that the menu is set to z-index: 1000.

z-index CSS property

The same is true for the modal window. Please change the modal window z-index to 1010 or the menu  z-index to 990 in order to fix this problem.

Best Regards,
Kostas

Thank you Kostas,

I forgot that this value is (or can be) set in the IDE of AllWebMenus, so I did set the other value somewhere else in my code (later executed).

Kind regards,
RuuRd

We are seeing issues with all our menus on the new IE 10.

We have searched knowledge base and all we can find on the problem is to use a minimum width. Which this did correct the issue where the menu was not even showing.

But what we are seeing now is that in compatibility mode the menu is fine then in standard mode the links stack.

other browsers work fine

Thanks for any suggestions

Hello,

I noticed that while you are using the latest AllWebMenus version, you neglected to update the online library files:

Please upload the newly compiled “awmdata” folder to fix the problem.
