My client has asked that I put a 'like' button on her navigation.  She has one left and one bottom set of navigation buttons.  I went to facebook and they handed me code but when I try to put it in the menu, the 'like' button does not show - tried just about every way I could think of.  there is nothing in the help that helps.

Here is all the code given to me by Facebook: have no idea and do not want to put in each and every page on the site if I can add to menu.

<div id="fb-root"></div>

<script>(function(d, s, id) {

  var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];

  if (d.getElementById(id)) return;

  js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;

  js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1";

  fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);

}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

<div class="fb-like" data-href="{URL REMOVED}" data-send="false" data-width="120" data-show-faces="true" data-font="arial"></div>

<iframe src="//www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href="{URL REMOVED}" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

Hello,

Please try the following:

<iframe src="{URL REMOVED}" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:180px; height:30px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

But make sure that you turn your menu item into the “Full HTML” mode:

I have no problem with the menu design and integration with a test webpage, but would like to be able to click on the text in the second submenu and have that text populate the textbox in an order form. Can you tell me how to accomplish this? I am using the javascript feature rich design format.

Thanks

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

In order to do this you need to give your textbox an ID, for example:

<input id="myText" type="text" />

Then in the menu item you can use the “JavaScript Command” property of the “Mouse Click” state to add the following:

document.getElementById("myText").value="new value";

javascript command on mouse click

Hello Kostas,

How do I exactly use a menu dynamically, I mean populating it from database driven data? Also dynamically it can manage unlimited items/subitems or is there any restriction?

Many thanks for your very good support!

Paolo

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Paolo,

You need to use the "Server-Side Menus API":

http://www.likno.com/addins/dhtml-menu-serverside.html

Read the Help PDF (link there) for how to use it.

Please note that it is for advanced users and no implementation support can be given for free (because it requires programming focus, etc.)

We have no restriction on the number of items, unless the browser has problems with too many items.

Initial Email Subject: linking from external page
Support Case Month: June 2012

Hello

In the modal windows, how can I link to an external page and call on one specific item on that page?

For example, I have a group of 20 charts all on one page. I want to call up chart1 with one link, and chart6 with another. AND only that chart. Otherwise, I'd have to have separate small files for each chart. Is that possible to do and how?

Thanks.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

This is possible if you have the charts in separate DIVs and you call the page as “AJAX” specifying the DIV to load.

For example the following value in the AJAX field would load only the page element with ID=”container”:

test.html #container

and the following value in the AJAX field would load only the page element(s) with class=”container”:

test.html .container

Thanks. But could you be a bit more specific?

Like showing me with an actual link and where do I place that link inside the project builder?

I’ve had a look at some videos and  nothing I found showed how to do this.

They only speak of an entire page.

I figure, that if the division on the same page can be linked to, why not on any other page?

When encountering a url link such as “#item_1”, the browser is assuming that the container is on the same page.

I did find one item in one of your pdf files that showed an example, tried it and it did not work.

Hello again,

The information I gave you was for use within the application and not for page links:

modal windows content properties

Also, this is not part of the documented features of the application and hence you could not find it anywhere.

I am afraid that there is no direct support for partly loading an external document through page links.

Still, if you send me a URL to see your test page, I may be able to offer a different solution.

http://1littleworld.net/test/1960/sidepanel.html

This is not an AWM project but does show the problem.

The linked page shows all ten tables. There should be a way of showing only the table for that item.

So when item 1 is clicked, table 1 appears.

BTW, that’s a script you guys could offer.

As I think it’s neater and cleaner than a modal.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

The effect you sent me is indeed a very interesting use-case and it can probably be achieved using our “accordion” application.

Regarding the partial Ajax loading, did you try it with Modal as I instructed you?

I am asking because I did a test locally and it seems to work fine.

Support Case Month: July 2012

I'm creating a new Drupal website with a horizontal menu and 1 line horizontal submenu (look at "Kunden" or "Konatkt").

My problem:
The submenu disappears when I click an item of the submenu! The submenu should only disappear when I click a new main item (I set STICKY SUBMENU and I unchecked "clicks somewhere on page" and "hovers over another item in the same group").

Thank you for your support

Many Regards

Josef

Dear Josef,

This happens because each time you click on a menu item you load a new page (and the menu is rebuilt from scratch).

What you want to do, is to use the automatic highlight of the current page which will also open the submenu in which the page link resides:

Dear Kostas,

thank you very much - this option was already checked. Now I tried the website under SAFARI, CHROME and IE and everything works as designed. Under FIREFOX the submenu disappears (the browser cache was cleared). Is this a browser problem?!

Again thank you very much for your answer

Josef

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Josef,

I just checked your page with Firefox and I see that the menu works fine.

Do you still not see the submenu in your Firefox? Would you please try deleting the cache files again and then press Ctrl+F5 to fully refresh the page?
