Hi,

Why my left menu on the mentioned website does not stay open according to the open page.

I chose the automatic way.

And highlight the item using its mouse clicks values.

And I checked the box: if the highlighted item is inside a submenu....

What did I do wrong?

Greetings,

Jaak

Dear Jaak,

I have a feeling that this is caused by the “../../” that you have in each link.

Please try using the attached menu, in which I have substituted the “../../” with “/”.

Thanks for your answer. I also had the feeling it had to do with the links. I made a new one which I stored in the root file. This works fine.

Can you tell me if the Modal Window software allows us to create multiple individual popup windows for each of our animals as depicted in the image below? If if does…that would be great!

Thanks

Joe

pop up windows

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Joe,

You have multiple ways to do so:

One easy method is to use the "target="Modal_Window_1_single" code on each link, where the "href" will contain a reference to an "id", which will be included in the image file that you want (click the help icon [?] there for more info).

Please make sure that you have selected the “Make certain links/forms in page open in this window” option and read more about it there:

what you want the selected modal window to do

Each image that you want to be displayed should be inside the page, with a unique id for that image.

For example, for this <a> link...

<a href="#picture_ghandi" target="Modal_Window_1_single">Ghandi</a>

...the modal window shows the following image that uses this ID:

<img id="picture_ghandi" src="http://www.loveforanimals.org/images/ghandi.jpg" style="display:none;" />

So, you just place all images in the page, as follows:

<img id="picture_ghandi" src="http://www.loveforanimals.org/images/ghandi.jpg" style="display:none;" />

<img id="picture_elvis" src="http://www.loveforanimals.org/images/elvis.jpg" style="display:none;" />

… (etc.)

…and then use these links to call each image accordingly:

<a href="#picture_ghandi" target="Modal_Window_1_single">Ghandi</a>

<a href="#picture_elvis" target="Modal_Window_1_single">Elvis</a>

Notice the style="display:none;" code in the <img> tags which makes the images "invisible" in the actual page (but visible when the modal window opens to show them).

Hello all,

Is it possible to feed the items of Likno Web Scroller Builder

with elements contained in an external database?

If yes, how

Best regards

Cordialement
Roland

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Roland,

Yes, this is possible. The easiest way is probably to use the UL/LI or DIVs population method. You can use your server-side code (PHP, ASP etc.) to read from the DB and “write” the required LI elements into your page, then transform these into a scroller.

populate slider items through ul li

Please have a look at the Help which is pretty extensive, on the syntax of the UL/LI (or DIVs) code and let me know if you need more help.

Initial Email Subject: Links do not from Subgroup (Main Item)
Support Case Month: October 2012

Greetings,

Since quiet some time I use web menu and I am happy with it.

I use it with vertical submenus. What I noticed is that the links I have in the main item of the Submenu does not open, only the menu it self opens. Any hint? Please note the screen shot indication the link which is only an example.., links stored on other main subgroup items do also not open, only the links in the submenu items.

Testing the link works.

I noted my support plan is expired; however, I never used the support in the past, so maybe you can look into the issue...

Kind regards

Rainer

Dear Rainer,

For sliding menus, there is a specific feature that stops the links of "parent" items from working. This was done because if the links work then there is no way to open the submenu without changing the page. You can change this behavior here:

ignore link value of parent menu item

The most important factor that determines the size of the menu is the content of the items. If you want to reduce the size of your menu you should keep in mind that the menu must have at least the necessary size for the content of the items to fit inside. If the content is large, then you should first of all reduce the size of the content.

The properties that determine the size of each item and the menu are the <Minimum Width>in the Main/Sub/Sub+ Group Style Editor (if you want to increase the size, perhaps this is the only property you should change), the <Size> in the Main/Sub/Sub+Items Style Editor and also the <Text Margin> and the <Content Padding> in the Main/Sub/Sub+ Items Style Editor.

Also you can check/uncheck the "Uniform Items" option in the <Type> property of the Main/Sub/Sub+ Group Style Editor that forces all items to have the same size - the size of  the largest item. You can modify the values of these properties and change the size of the items.

Finally, If you just want to widen the menu, you have only to change the <Minimum Width> property of the Main Group Style in the Style Editor.
