Support Case Month: April 2014

Hello!

Regarding drop-down menu trees; I just can't get it to show on my pages, neither locally or online.

I'm using WYSIWYG (wb9).

I have compiled my project in wb9 and every menu-line in your program I have linked to a specific .html file. In wb9 I have made an "insert HTML code" object and pasted the line:
<div id="treeid" style="position:absolute; width:100%;"></div>

I have not changed the default name or paths in your program and uploaded all files to my web-server.

I have compiled my menu to the place that it publishes my site locally in WB9.

I would very much appreciate some help.

Best regards
Michael

Hello Michael,

In the page you provided me I can find the code
<div id="treeid" style="position:absolute; width:100%;"></div>

However, there is not linking code for the tree.

You need to link the tree (after you have compiled it) to the pages you need it to appear. Open the tree project and click Link Tree, on the form that appears choose the pages you want the tree to appear and click the right arrows to transfer them on the right side. Finally click the Link.

link drop down tree to pages

Alternatively, you may want to manually add the linking code to your pages. That means you need to edit the pages you want the tree to appear and add the following code right after the <body> tag.

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree_TeamEmployeeTraining ******** -->

<script type="text/javascript">var TreeName="tree_TeamEmployeeTraining",TreeLinkedBy="Likno LDMT [1]",awtBN=156</script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="/likno-scripts/tree_TeamEmployeeTraining/ldmt.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" src="/likno-scripts/tree_TeamEmployeeTraining/tree_TeamEmployeeTraining.js"></script>

<!-- ******** END LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree_TeamEmployeeTraining ******** -->

Where highlighted you need to change that to values according to your project. In case you need help on this, please send me your tree project file so I can give you the exact names.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Kind Regards,

Support Case Month: December 2013

Hi,

My problem is that the visitors will meet a menu that only says "Home". I want the tree to start unfolded to the first level. How do I do that. I´m not a programmer...

Please help me!

Best regards,

Magnus

Hello Magnus,

Unfortunately this is not supported. However, the way you use your tree structure is like a menu. I would recommend you to move the "Home" as Sibling to your first levels tree items, so when you load the page all the first level items will be displayed.

It will look like:

javascript tree menu preview

Let me know if you need more information.

Kind Regards.

Thanks Aggelos,

It worked out fine. Do you know if it is possible to make a "mark" in the menu to show which page you visit?  For example: If I click on the"Monitoring" link the "Monitoring" text shows up in bold or a different color.

Best regards,
Magnus

Hello Magnus,

I am afraid this is not possible in Likno Drop Down Menu Trees.

However we could create that for you. As this is an extra feature it will cost us the development. The minimum fee we charge usually is $120.  Despite that we can give a good discount and we can create that feature for you at the low price of $45.

Please, let me know if you are interested in this so we can begin the project.

Thank you!

Kind Regards.

Hello Magnus,

This is to let you know that your requested feature has been added in Likno Drop Down Trees.

Please, download it here: http://www.likno.com/drop-down-menu-trees/download.html

After you have installed it, you need to open your tree project and select the remember the tree state property.

Then, re-compile your tree project and re-upload all the produced files to your server.

Let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you!

The transparency in Likno Drop Down Menu Trees can be achieved with the appropriate CSS definitions in the Root Style Editor.

Add the following code to the text box of the Root Style Editor (as shown in the image below):

opacity:0.5;filter: alpha(opacity = 50);

Change the values to fit your requirements: in ‘opacity’ the values are between 0.0 (fully transparent) and 1.0 (opaque); in filter the values are between 0 (fully transparent) and 100 (opaque).
