HELP!! I cannot get the API commands to work. I've tried EVERYTHING today. EVERYTHING. I've put the

<script>

function openModal(url, w, h) {
    popup_with_id({bodySource:"<div externalUrl=\'"+url+"\'/>",containerCss:{width:w, height:h}});

}
</script>

I've put in several test links

<a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="popup_with_id({bodySource:'hello'})" >Click for product3 comparison</a>

<a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="popup_with_id({footer:{text:'new footer'});">Click here</a>

<a onclick="openModal('test1',300,400)" href="javascript:void(0);">Test modal2</a>

<a  href="#" onclick="popup_with_id('BITE ME','1','2')"  alt="" title="" target="Popup_Window">See Popup Window</a>

</head>

per like this KB page

http://www.likno.com/blog/lwmw-using-the-a-tag-to-open-modal-windows-and-also-the-api-for-parameters/1898/

It will not open a window with the API commands inside the modal popup_with_id. If I take out the "{" then it puts the text inside the window and works

popup_with_id("test stuff);

I just need a little nudge in the right direction before i lose any more time on this, PLEASE

Sincerely,
Patrick

Hello Patrick,

According to your project the modal window name you have is  Popup_Window, so the popup_with_id is going to be undefined.

You should have Popup_Window instead of popup_with_id

modal window name

Please, correct the above and let me know how that worked for you.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Kind Regards,

Initial Email Subject: Web Accordion Builder Control Panel Broke?
Support Case Month: April 2014

Hello Tech,

Is the Control Panel broke for Web Accordion Builder?

I'm using latest build #238 and when I try to have all panels closed initially it does not work.

In Style Editor, when applying the value "None" in the "Initial Open Panes" section the Preview page still displays panel #2 open for default project examples --- refreshing Preview page does not change.

Also, problem with selecting which pane to open on load --- Likno examples seem to default to panel 2 despite changing Initial Open Panes to One/3.

Please advise if panel is broke or I am not doing something properly.

Thank you.

Randy

Hello Randy,

Those settings are not respected in Preview of the application. That is the reason that you don't see any changes in your Preview.
However, they are going to work as set in your actual page.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Kind Regards,

Aris

I see the notes on opening modal windows in scroll builder.

My question is can you open a a scroller in a modal window ?

Thanks - Anthony,  been using allmenus for a long time, just bought scroll builder and modal windows builder a week or so ago.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Anthony,

First, thank you for your purchase.

The answer is yes, you are able to have a scroller inside a modal window.

In order to do so, actually you have the scroller inside a page. Then, you set this page as the content of your modal window.

modal window content

The index_lwsc_sample.html holds the scroller.

Note, that you could also have selected  the "Make certain links/forms in page open in this window" in case you need more pages to be loaded in the same modal window.

I have attached a zip folder containing a sample scroller project, the index_lwsc_sample.html, the modal window project and the test.html in which I have linked the modal window. There, I have a link that when you click the modal window appears which has the index_lwsc_sample.html as its content.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Hi – when I test my modal windows in IE11 the window is not large enough to accommodate the text and the footer gets cut off.  I tried playing around with  the size in the style editor, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything.  It shows fine in Firefox.  Please advise.  Thanks.

Hello Nicole,

This happens because you have this line of code (shown in the screenshot below). Removing that line of code should fix your issue.

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you.

I hope you can answer the following. I like keeping the html pages on a separate folder and the scroller components on a different folder (not everything together). I just published a web scroller and I copied and pasted the generated code to the page in which I like the scroller to show and I modified the src to the location of the .js and I also modified the location of the pictures but still not working. I guess I need to make changes to the .js file?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Jose,

There should not be any problem with that. You could move the likno-scripts folder or your HTML pages and then change in the Linking Code the src to point to the project.js file.

Could you send me a URL so I can check what is missing or your folder/files as a ZIP?

Thank you.
