Hello,

I have problems with Drop-Down Menu Trees (Unlimited Domain Licenses.

I don't find an option to add the code manually to a webpage and when I add a page and click  the  link button, everything consistently freezes..

link drop down menu tree

I used the trial version and activated it following purchase.

All other Likno products work well (allWebmenus, web scroller).

I trust you'll find a quick solution as I bought it to be used in a project I need to finish within the next 24 hours.

Best Regards,
Amir

Hello Amir,

The Linking Code should look like this:

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree ******** –>
<script type="text/javascript">var TreeName="{Tree Name}",TreeLinkedBy="Likno LDMT [1]",awtBN=156</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="{path to ldmt.js}"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" src="{Path to your Tree JavaScript File}"></script>
<!-- ******** END LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree ******** -->

So, for example you have the following structure:

file structure

Then the Linking Code in the test1.html page should be:

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree ******** –>
<script type="text/javascript">var TreeName="tree",TreeLinkedBy="Likno LDMT [1]",awtBN=156</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="ldmt.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" src="tree.js"></script>
<!-- ******** END LIKNODROPDOWNMENUTREE CODE FOR tree ******** -->

And you place it right after the <body> tag.

Please, let me know how that worked for you, so you can quickly have your desired result and then we can see how we can fix the issue in order to automatically link your pages.

Kind Regards

Hello,

Unfortunately it's not working for me.

Here is the link: {URL REMOVED}

You can view source.

Here is the screenshot from my FTP client.

You can compare file creation time to current local time. These are new files.

ftp

Here is the link to one of the images, you can see it's showing and in the right position , relative to the index file. So files are online.

{URL REMOVED}

I used the application default files names so I just had to copy your text….

Also here is a screenshot from my menu.

So, the code is OK, the files and folders are in place, the application shows the menu,

Still not working.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello Amir,

You have missed the position element:

drop down menu tree positioning element

So, you need something the following code in your page:

<div id="treeid" style="position:absolute; width:100%;"></div>

So, check your project to see what is the positioning ID and then add that element to your page so that the menu tree can appear.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

Support Case Month: December 2013

Hi,

My problem is that the visitors will meet a menu that only says "Home". I want the tree to start unfolded to the first level. How do I do that. I´m not a programmer...

Please help me!

Best regards,

Magnus

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Magnus,

Unfortunately this is not supported. However, the way you use your tree structure is like a menu. I would recommend you to move the "Home" as Sibling to your first levels tree items, so when you load the page all the first level items will be displayed.

It will look like:

javascript tree menu preview

Let me know if you need more information.

Kind Regards.

Thanks Aggelos,

It worked out fine. Do you know if it is possible to make a "mark" in the menu to show which page you visit?  For example: If I click on the"Monitoring" link the "Monitoring" text shows up in bold or a different color.

Best regards,
Magnus

Hello Magnus,

I am afraid this is not possible in Likno Drop Down Menu Trees.

However we could create that for you. As this is an extra feature it will cost us the development. The minimum fee we charge usually is $120.  Despite that we can give a good discount and we can create that feature for you at the low price of $45.

Please, let me know if you are interested in this so we can begin the project.

Thank you!

Kind Regards.

Hello Magnus,

This is to let you know that your requested feature has been added in Likno Drop Down Trees.

Please, download it here: http://www.likno.com/drop-down-menu-trees/download.html

After you have installed it, you need to open your tree project and select the remember the tree state property.

remember the tree state property

Then, re-compile your tree project and re-upload all the produced files to your server.

Let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you!

Dear Kostas,

Many thx your prompt feedback!

I wish to add that your software is fantastic.  I bought the drop-down and the menu creator.

Sometimes there is a crash, but that has maybe to do with pc memory, I have plenty applications open.

If I can repeat the issue, then I let you know.

The border around the root is now perfect – many thx

I tried the same for nodes, however when selecting, that border is still visible

Hereby included some screenshots.

Kind regards,

Paul.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Paul,

You can add the following CSS line in the <head> section of your page:

head section style properties

If you change your tree’s Compile Name to e.g. “myTree.js”, then the rule should also change to:

#myTree * { outline: none; }

Regarding the crash you mentioned, please do let us know if this happens again or if you can find what are the circumstances that cause it. Does this happen to the Trees application only?

Initial Email Subject: menu tree builder hangs
Support Case Month: July 2012

Hi Kostas,

sorry to say, my tree builder crashed and I cannot get it work any more.

When I opened it, the program window was not accessible, like it hanged up. The program window was there but nothing could be done, anywhere I clicked only a gong was audible.

After that I got the idea to start the program by clicking on the project file in the file explorer, but to my surprise the project file has disappeared, I cannot find it anymore. That is terrible because it was a lot of work to create all the nods and links. After that I downloaded the installation file again and reinstalled it without success, still the same problem.

Then I uninstalled the program with the windows control panel and reinstalled, still the same problem. But I got a strange message while uninstalling, it said to close the menu tree builder before uninstalling but it was not running.

Now I am stuck and need your help to get the tree builder back to work. I still have the .js file but I don't think I can use it to recreate my project tree. (It would be nice to write the tree in a text file and import it into the tree builder).

Thanks
Wolfgang

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

Is the problem with the application or with the specific project?

If you simply run the Tree application does it open with a new Tree menu?

If not, then there is something wrong with the application. This could have happened because you installed something else in your PC that conflicts with the Tree application, or it could be because your registry got corrupted somehow.
To reset your Tree registry, please go to windows "Start-> Run" and type "regedit" to open the registry editor. Then look for the following key and delete it:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\LiknoDropDownMenuTrees

Once you delete this, you can re-install Trees to see if the problem disappeared.
