I have gotten one modal window project to work fine. It did take some work, though.

This one simply will not.

Using a sample modal Window.  Compile. Link. Click the link on the created page in a browser and a new window opens but not the modal window. Will not work locally or at at the qualified host.

I love your products but this one stumps me! Thank you for any ideas!!!

Hello,

I checked your test page and it seems that the Linking Code has the wrong path!

It points to a URL that gives a “page not found” error, hence the modal library is never loaded and the link does not work.

Please check the “src” path in the Linking Code and make sure it points to where the uploaded files really are.

Thank you. Figured it out. Had to do with my directory naming in Win 7. Funny but I guess Modal Windows could not work its way around "#" or spaces in my folder names.  Others seem to.

When I try make scroller with images stored in my local web site, I see no result either in preview or in the browser.

Dear Roman,

I noticed that you set the images to be on a website folder:

This means that this path you use will be relative to the page. The paths you used seem to be ok for the online site, but locally “/images” would translate to “C:\images”, which is not what you would want. If you change the path to “images/gon/gon01.png” (without the starting slash “/”) then the scroller will work in the local site.

Regarding the preview, there seems to be some problem as it was supposed to work by simply copying the image files in the assets folder. I will forward this to our developer team to see what they say about it.

Hi Kostas, thanks for the answer.

Yes, without backslash it works on local site folder, which "call" the scroller js, but "preview" is not working. I know it.

My idea was make it independent on the site, so I want to use "root-relative" path. It is not possible in this time, all right, I have no problem. I will wait for Your SW developer´s solution and answer.

Using assets folder - it works, of course. But the size of web is increasing (I have 2 sets of the same images).

Hi, when open up my project I have forever gotten this message:

C:\Program Files\AllWebMenus4\Image Gallery\Bullets\bullets_22.gif

There is no folder for AllWebMenus4, I'm up to 5 now.  I can just click "Continue" and there is not problem with any of the menus.  It's just plain annoying.  I tried looking for some config file that pins to the gif, but no luck. The bullets_22.gif is in the menus\menu_data folder.

There must be a wrong path in the config file somewhere.  Can you please help?

Dear Ken,

This message appears when an image used in your menu project cannot be found. I understand that you have a menu that used the specific bullet (possibly as a “hasSubmenu” image?) and when you switched from AllWebMenus v4 to AllWebMenus v5 and removed v4, you started getting this error.
The solution is to “Locate & Restore Missing Images” and point the application to the “Image Gallery” path under the v5 installation folder. Do not forget to save your project after doing this.

I have version 3.1. I am using a previously designed menu that was still on the website. I was able to download everything so that I can continue the work on the menu.

The error that shows is that it points to a path on a previous machine as to where images are located. The r5.gif and Yellowbuttoned_sub.gif.

How can this problem be fixed? It appears to be a bug because there is nowhere that the path can be changed. I have also included a snap shot of the error.

No, I can open the project without the error. Its when I compile, or preview that it occurs.

I am not sure what a project file is - is that the .js file? .awm file?

I have included the file.

I notice when looking at the file that, yes indeed - the old references are still there. The question is, why?

You need to correct the image fields that have the old values:

I am afraid that there is no way to do this automatically in such an old version. Using v5 would be much easier.

Finally, I have to note here (again) that v3 is *very* old and has known issues with some of the latest browsers, so I strongly recommend upgrading.

Dear Karen,

I visited your site and I saw that you already added the Menu Linking Code in the main page (but only there). However you did not upload the Compiled Menu Files!

Please try the following:

1) remove the Linking Code from the index page

2) add the Linking Code to the “header.tpl” – make sure the “src” has a root-relative path, so that it works in folders too (if you have any)

3) upload the menu compiled files to the correct position
