I built the menu for our website {URL REMOVED} about two years ago and have made several updates.  Yesterday, I installed Internet Explorer 10 on my PC and now the menu will not work.Do I need a different type of menu?

Hello,

It seems that although you are compiling your menu with the latest version each time, you neglected to upload the “awmdata” folder which contains the library files.

This means that your online library files are from a very old version(mid-2010) which does not support IE10.

Please remember to upload the “awmdata” folder each time you compile with a newer version to avoid similar issues.

I have a client whose web site has an AWM menu which does not show up on iMac computers.  I have tried it in Safari on my PC and it does not show up, but is fine using other browsers (Opera, Chrome, Firefox, IE).

Please advise.

Gary

Dear Gary,

This happens because your menu is compiled with a much older version that did not support Safari 5.

Please download the latest version from your Likno User Area account  (and if required, also get a new Activation Code):

download latest version of AllWebMenus

Then please recompile ALL your menu projects, and upload the new compiled files (including the “awmdata” folder).

Note that although your Update Plan is expired, the latest version you can activate DOES support all the latest browsers (including Safari 5 & 6 and IE 10), so there is no need to extend your Update Plan yet (unless of course you want to get access to our new features like “responsive menus”).

I'm having a problem with populating or locating my menu from another computer. I installed AllWebMenus in another computer but it cannot find the menu. ??

Please help, thank you,

Hello,

I am a bit confused with your support email. Are you referring to the menu project you created?

If you created a menu project in one computer, the menu project file will be there. If you then want to work in another PC then you need to copy the menu project file and take it to the second PC.

I advise you however to be extra careful when doing this, as it is very easy to forget copying the file back and ending up working on different versions on each PC.

hello Aris and Kostas
I've been using your program for a while and love it. I have a question: If I create a web site for someone else and use Allwebmenus to make the navigation bar - and then transfer the site to that other person would they have to have their own Allwebmenus program installed on their hard drive to make any changes?

Phil

Hello Phil,

This is true, if you hand over the project to the other person and her is responsible of updating the menus then he should also have an AllWebMenus license installed on his PC.

I have changed computers and now have Macs instead of Windows PC. I am using version 5 on the Mac with Parallels software installed but I am gradually getting rid of all Windows programs with the notion of using the Mac for everything.

How do I install version 5 on the Mac and keep the menu I have built for my website.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I am afraid that we do not have a Mac version of AllWebMenus. Since most of our Mac users also have a PC or use a VM without problems, I am afraid it would be  too inefficient/expensive/time-consuming to redevelop the whole application from scratch so that it can work natively in Mac. As such, developing a Mac version is definitely not in the plans, at least for now.
