Hi,

I have looked everywhere that i can think off, but cannot find the style to correct this problem.

When I initially go to this page, the tabs menu looks correct. As I click across the menu (Description > Features > Contact Us), the menu works as planned.

However, if I next click on Description, the body copy moves up to the edge of the top margin of the body graphic and will not return, unless the page is reset.

I also can correct the problem by finding the code using Firebug and changing the "positioning" style from "Relative" to "Absolute" (see below).

<li class="liknotabs_body" style="width: 700px; position: relative; top: 0px; left: 0px; display: block; overflow: visible; height: 295px; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px;">

However, I cannot find the place in the Tabs menu application to make this change.

Please advise.

Thanks,
John

Dear John,

It seems that this issue is caused by the way that browsers understand margin. Specifically, the problem is that margins need some kind of “wall” to push against, otherwise they are ignored.

If for example you add a 1px padding-top to your <div class="synecomm"> and remove the margin-top, you will get the result you wanted, because the 15px margin of the inner elements will work against this padding.

If you need more help, please export and send me the tabs project and I will do this for you.

I think I have all of the Themes and Templates but I was unable to find any examples of the float that slides out the menu like the one on this page:

http://www.likno.com/examples.html?example=floating3

I am talking about the little bar that floats down the side.  Are there any Themes or Templates like that?  If yes, could you tell me what they are?

Thanks

Hello,

Just download exactly that project from this button:

It uses this property:

Thank you for this info.  What I am wondering though is if there are any other themes like the one on the sample page, similar to the one below that I have downloaded?

Also, can you tell me what Help page the information on the very bottom of your response is?  I have not been able to locate it.

Thanks

Hello,

I am afraid that we do not have more examples with menus that “float” like this one. However it is easy to make any menu “floating” by changing the related property according to the following screenshot:

menu constant floating

Note that this is just a screenshot of the application. It is not inside any help file.

I got a menu floating, no problem.  But my issue comes in when I do responsive - then part of the menu ends up off the page in some cases.  That's why I think it would be good to have examples or themes of the floats like in the example.

Hello again,

If the menu ends up off the page, then I guess that it is a matter of Positioning. Note that in responsive menus each “version” can have a different Positioning.

If you send me a URL I may be able to suggest a solution.

HI Guys,

I think I've followed all the steps correctly but I get the above error when testing Web Scroller Builder Ver 1

Dear Colin,

This appears because you do not have a Positioning Element in your page for your scroller.

The default positioning is to put the scroller within an element that has the id “liknoscroller_positionID”:

scroller positioning properties

You must create such an element in your page, or you should change the positioning to something else (e.g. “Floating” over page -> Relative to Window).

Please try adding the following code into your page:

<div id="liknoscroller_positionID">&nbsp;</div>

The scroller will appear within this div (wherever you put it).

Thanks Guys

I did have “Embedded in page ticked”, but I didn’t realize I need to add <div id="liknoscroller_positionID">&nbsp;</div> to my page before linking the page, might be worth making a youtube video on this. I want to have several of these on one page and wonder how to do this. Perhaps the video could explain that.

I’ve also just realized, that this is in a php included file but I’m sure I can work this out.

Also, I would like to know how I can have more than one scroller on a page.

Regards Colin

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Colin,

In order to have multiple scrollers in a single page, you need to make sure that each scroller has a different “compile name”:

scroller compile name properties

Please also make sure that all scrollers have the *same* “Site_Root folder” and leave the “Compiled Subfolders” to the default values.
