Hi -

Can I put a black frame around the border?

THANKS!
-Janine

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Janine,

You can change the border of the main menu group to your desired settings and the result will be like in the attached screenshot. In case,  this is not what you want and you want to have extra border out of the menu, you can do that in your CSS stylings of your positioning element.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Support Case Month: October 2013

I have 27 panes for the 27 parishes in Cuenca.  However only 19 show up on my screen (26 inch) and I can't get to the rest.  I am not sure if even that many would show on a smaller screen.

1.  Is there a limit on the number of panes or did I leave something out?

2.  If there is a limit, can I put two accordions on the same page, eg vurbana and vurbana2 so that I do not have to do some kind of A to N and then another page with O to Z.

Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike,

You have checked to position your accordion relative to an element  and you have also checked the accordion to drift on page scroll. As the accordion is too long  this is not a good choice to have.

In order to correct that problem, please uncheck the "Accordion drifts on page scroll" and then you need to re-compile your project and re-upload the produced files.

jquery accordion positioning settings

Also, note that in your page you have forgotten to close the positioning element:
<div id='liknoaccordion_positionID'/>&nbsp;</div>

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Hello,

I have the positioning working now on both the desktop and laptop screens.   Made adjustments in CSS and HTML.  Having said this, and the fact that I have four screen versions set up in the project, I really don’t understand how to use this feature.
Do I really need more than the default setting?  If I need to cover other screen sizes, just how do I do that and what resolution values should I use?

Thanks for your help throughout this issue I had.

Darold

Hello Darold,

The responsive feature of AllWebMenus gives you the ability to create 4 different versions of your menu according to screen sizes.

So, you are able to have up to 4 versions of your menu and set the screen size for each version. Then, each version of your menu can have different content, styling, positioning. For example, you might want to have a horizontal menu for the desktop version, but a vertical sliding for the mobile version. Each version covers a range of screen sizes, in this way 4 versions are enough to cover all sizes.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you!

Do you have an example of how to set multiple versions up to include a mobile version?

Thanks, Darold

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Darold,

If you choose the responsive feature in AllWebMenus and leave the default values are enough to have your menu for Desktop/laptops/tablet/mobile devices.

According to the screenshot below, the version 1 would be served for screens over 960px, this means that this version of the menu will be appropriate for laptops/desktops.

Version 2 will appear in screen between 768px and 959px, so this will appear in tablets on horizontal view.

Version 3 will appear in screen between 480px and 767px, so this will appear in tablets on vertical view.

Version 4 will appear in screen below 479px, so this means in mobile devices.

responsive menu version and dimensions

Is the above of a help to you?

Great explanation. Thank you.  Now… do I have to set up different Content, Styling and positioning for each of these versions?  If so, what are default settings for each?  BTW, the explanation of the Responsive Menus feature would be a great addition to your manual.   Don’t recall seeing this level of detail in it.

Hello Darold,

Indeed you can have different Content, Styling and positioning for each of these versions. If you need to use the same, just use the CLONE functionality after you make a change to one of these, it is very handy:

clone feature in responsive menu

If you mean default settings for the width, you will find them there but you can change them to anything you like. The other default values are the ones that a non-responsive menu would have.

Initial Email Subject: Help with AWM (CSS)
Support Case Month: June 2013

I’m trying to get the CSS menu to populate to the page but I’m at a COMPLETE loss of understanding of how to do so with the CSS based menu. The testing site is at {URL REMOVED} (only working on the home/index page as I try to understand this)

The index.html page is based on a Dreamweaver template. (I use DW CS5.5)

I’m having several issues…

The menu was compiled in AWM 5.3 Build 910

Possibly if this issue is resolved the other issues regarding positions etc will be taken care of as I believe AWM is built to do all the positioning and code insertion automatically.

Thx for the help,
Michael

Hello Michael,

We are here to help, I saw your page and realized that you did not add the "UL/LI" elements that represent your menu.

See the image below, where to find these:

UL LI CSS menu population code

This is not related to the Dreamweaver Extension, do not use it at all. Just have the menu-linking code there (which I see that you did add) and the UL/LI section. Also check if everything id OK with the "Positioning" of the menu here:

menu positioning

Thank you!

Thank you.

OK, I did what I think you’re telling me (went to “Project Properties > Populate menu inside your page… > <ul><li> structure and copied the code there and then entered the code on the template relative to the element <div id="menu-anchor"> (from the “Menu Positioning”)

Take a look at the home now. Clearly this isn’t what I’m trying to do. I would like the menu to populate horizontally (like at {URL REMOVED}) and I want the menu to behave in the manner the javascript menu does, i.e. with the hover over, etc. characteristics.

I am very confused with this and am not following what I should be doing. Yes, I know it would probably be easier (maybe not?) with the js menu but the js menu will not work (as I understand it) when the site is viewed on an iPad.

Suggestions?

Michael

Hello Michael,

I checked your files and I see that the problem is with the width and height of the menu items.

In CSS menu, the property works "as exactly" the width and height you specify and not as "at least". I noticed that you have set it as in the image below:

menu items width and height

Please correct these sizes in all your menu items (main, sub items and sub items+) to width/height values that perfects fit your menu.

Note that in CSS menu the width and height values are the same for all items. In this case, if you need a specific width/height for some menu items you need to do that with inline style.

In your Dreamweaver template go to the menu structure and set these properties in <li> and <a> tags. See image below:

width and height in menu structure

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Initial Email Subject: Inquiry about Web Tab Builders
Support Case Month: June 2013

Hi,

I would like to find out more about your Web Tab Builders. I was wondering whether it can cross-over with my existing software of XSitepro for the web build-up. Do I get any technical support for it?

Hope to get your revert soon.

Thanks and regards,
Au

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Au,

You can find a lot of information about Likno Web Tabs Builder in this page: http://www.likno.com/jquery-tabs/index.php

You have 3 choices of populating your web tabs (inside the project, through DIVs or through UL/LI elements). You could use DIVs or UL/LI structure to populate the tabs inside your XSitepro pages and add a JavaScript script in the pages you want the tabs to appear. As long as you can do those 2 steps then you can have the web tabs in your XSitepro pages.

Thank you.

Hi everybody,
Thanks for the explanation. However, I still have doubt because I can't find much example and support from the website. Hence, I'm not so expert in HTML and CSS but I need these builder to boost up my XSitepro as it is very useful.
If I have at least 20 pages which need this tab builder, does this mean I have to upload it 20 times?
Kindly advice
Thanks and regards,
Au

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Au,

You can have as many pages as you want, the only steps you need to follow are:

Step1 : Use Likno Web Tabs Builder to create and stylize your web tabs. Choose the population method and the positioning method.

Step 2: Insert to the pages you have the linking code, the population code and positioning code.

Step 3: Upload the 2 folders of your project in your server.

Note: If you use a template then you only need to insert the linking code, population code and positioning code in your template once and not in every page.

You don't need to be an expert in HTML or CSS in order to do that, as the application creates any code you need.

Please see the manual for more help http://www.likno.com/downldd/Likno_Web_Tabs_Builder_Manual.pdf or see the Help in the application and let me know if you need more explanations.

Kind Regards,
Aggelos
