Support Case Month: August 2013

Hi Likno Sales!

Currently I am using an older version of the AllWebMenus product on my website that is not showing in the Safari browser and I am thinking about upgrading to the newest one.

Will this new AllWebMenus Pro work in all browsers (IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari)? And will this menu work on my website if someone is viewing the site on their phone? My site is not a responsive website, but when you look at it on the phone, you can see it as a mini version on the phone and I want to know if the menu is compatible with phone browsers. So even when people are pinch to zooming on my site from their phone, they are able to use the menu.

Also, when I purchase this product, will there be instructions on how to integrate this product into my website? Is there instructions on how to upgrade or change the AllWebMenus I currently have in my website with the new one?

Thank  you!
Sarah

Hello Sarah,

The answer is yes, AllWebMenus Pro (the latest version) works in all modern browsers including IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, Internet Explorer 11, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari.

Indeed, the menus are going to work on devices such as smartphones/tablets.

With AllWebMenus you are able to create up to 4 versions of your menu in case you want it to be responsive. Still, you can leave it as is and it is going to work on phones/tablets.

When you purchase the product, you need to login to your userarea and download the latest version of AllWebMenus.

Install AllWebMenus Pro.

Activate it.

Then, open your menu project, re-compile it and re-upload the new produced files.

Let me know if you need more information.

Support Case Month: August 2013

Clicking the "COMPETITION!" link on the page above opens a modal window in Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera but it opens the target in a new page/tab in Internet Explorer 10.

I have just purchased the latest update thinking that may be the problem but it hasn't helped.

Any help gratefully received.

Regards,

Nick

Hello Nick,

You need to remove this line of code:

<script src="js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8"></script>

That's an old version of jQuery and causes the problem.

If you remove this line of code then everything should be ok.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Initial Email Subject: Menu not displaying in Internet Explorer 11
Support Case Month: October 2013

Hi!

I'm using latest available release of AllWebMenus (v5.3.920). I have a problem with IE11. The menu is not showing at all. You can see it with Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc... but IE11 is not showing it at all.

Menu should appear on top. You better check it using Firefox or another browser.

Is it a known issue? Any workaround?

Thanks!

Hello,

Please, download the latest version of AllWebMenus Pro which contains the fix for Internet Explorer 11, install it and re-compile your menu project. Then, you need to re-upload the produced files to your server.

The procedure to download, install and activate your AllWebMenus is:

1. Login to your likno user area (http://www.likno.com/userarea)

2. Go to AllWebMenus -> Download most recent build you are entitled to activate.

3. Click Download.

4. Install AllWebMenus.

5. Open AllWebMenus.

6. Go to Help -> Enter Activation Code.

7. Copy the Installation ID and switch back to your likno user area.

8. Go to AllWebMenus -> Get Activation Code.

9. Paste the Installation ID you copied and click "Give me the Activation Code".

10. Switch back to AllWebMenus and paste the Activation Code.

11. Click "Activate" and you are ready to go.

With the above steps, you have the latest version of AllWebMenus and you have it activated it on your PC.

1. Open the menu project in AllWebMenus.

2. Compile the menu project.

3. Upload the produced files (along with the awmdata folder) to your server.

With the above 3 steps, you have updated your menu to the latest version.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thank you!

Hi,
Just wanted to check the procedure after updating my AllWebMenus from 5.1 version 762 to the latest version. I want to limit any work to just compiling the one menu, is this automatic? I have not used the Menu for a long time.

Pete

Hello Pete,

The procedure to update AllWebMenus Pro and then the menu you have already online is:

- Login to your Likno User Area at http://www.likno.com/userarea

- Click the "View/Manage Licenses and Plans":

update AllWebMenus license

- See there if your Update Plan has expired or not.

If "expired" then click the "Renew" link and renew your Update Plan.

- Download the current Version (Build) ( http://www.likno.com/download.html ) and install it.

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link and get a new Activation Code for this updated installation:

AllWebMenus Activation Code

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Hi,
I'm just at the ordering page and would like to know how can I use the menu on a WordPress installation?
Regards

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Pete,

We have an AllWebMenus plugin to help you insert the menu you create in AllWebMenus Pro to your WordPress website. You could see more information about this here: http://www.likno.com/addins/wordpress-menu.html

You install the AllWebMenus WordPress plugin to your WordPress installation, you choose some settings for the menu, like what menu data you would like to use, the position you want it to display in, the menu type (Dynamic, Mixed, Static) and then you get the code for the menu.
You Open the AllWebMenus Pro, you go to Add-ins -> WordPress Menu -> Import/Update Menu Structure from WordPress in order to have the menu structure.
You create it in the way that fits your needs and then you compile it for WordPress. This creates a .zip file that you need to upload in your WordPress through the AllWebMenus plugin.

Let me know if you need any more further information.

Thank you!

Email Subject: positioning problem with fluid grid layout
Support Case Month: May 2013

I am trying to use your product with DreamWeaver cs6 (creative cloud membership) and trying to use a fluid grid layout.  I have the menu named navigationmenu to be embedded within
<div id="navigationmenu" class="fluid"> &nbsp; </div>.
It positions within the element id correctly on a normal desktop view, however when i resize the window to simulate an iphone or ipad or android tablet (and same thing happens on these devices), the positioning "shifts" to the right.  I am experiencing the same issue with IE and Firefox as well as safari. I need help!!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

It seems that you have different positioning settings in each responsive version. Please double check this and if required “clone” your Positioning settings from version 1 to the other versions:
