Support Case Month: March 2014

Hi,

This particular site has a bottom menu on the paintings page with numbers from 1 to 24 across the bottom.  Now they want to add a <Previous>  <Next> to that same menu that is using build 884.  Can this be done and how would I add the <Previous>  <Next> to the menu so it would rotate to each new page from 1-24?  Please let me know, any help would be appreciated.

Best,
Joy

Hello Joy,

As it seems this is a slideshow and it would be perfectly created with Likno Web Scroller Builder (info: http://www.likno.com/jquery-scroller/index.php examples: http://www.likno.com/jquery-builders/examples.php?p=lwsc&e=examplepack0204)

If you choose to go with AllWebMenus then you can add "Previous" as you first menu item and "Next" as you last menu item in your structure.

Then, you can add a JavaScript Command to run when you click those 2 items. So, I guess you can have 2 JavaScript functions (1 for previous, 1 for next). In previous function you need to have a script that will take you to the previous page and in next function to take you to the next page.

JavaScript command in menu item

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

HELP!! I cannot get the API commands to work. I've tried EVERYTHING today. EVERYTHING. I've put the

<script>

function openModal(url, w, h) {
    popup_with_id({bodySource:"<div externalUrl=\'"+url+"\'/>",containerCss:{width:w, height:h}});

}
</script>

I've put in several test links

<a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="popup_with_id({bodySource:'hello'})" >Click for product3 comparison</a>

<a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="popup_with_id({footer:{text:'new footer'});">Click here</a>

<a onclick="openModal('test1',300,400)" href="javascript:void(0);">Test modal2</a>

<a  href="#" onclick="popup_with_id('BITE ME','1','2')"  alt="" title="" target="Popup_Window">See Popup Window</a>

</head>

per like this KB page

http://www.likno.com/blog/lwmw-using-the-a-tag-to-open-modal-windows-and-also-the-api-for-parameters/1898/

It will not open a window with the API commands inside the modal popup_with_id. If I take out the "{" then it puts the text inside the window and works

popup_with_id("test stuff);

I just need a little nudge in the right direction before i lose any more time on this, PLEASE

Sincerely,
Patrick

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Patrick,

According to your project the modal window name you have is  Popup_Window, so the popup_with_id is going to be undefined.

You should have Popup_Window instead of popup_with_id

modal window name

Please, correct the above and let me know how that worked for you.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Support Case Month: April 2014

Hi—

     I would like to be able to use your JQuery menus on my test page and my internet page I will be putting up on the net for myself. I only need the menu’s and pop-up menu’s can these be purchases separately and I can just use them in a regular html page with jQuery correct, and how do I reference them in the script so they will work?

Doug

Hello Doug,

First, thank you for your interest in our Likno products.

If I understand your question well, you only need to purchase AllWebMenus Pro and nothing else.

Unless you refer to "modal windows" when you say "popup menus" but I do not think so.  I am not sure what you mean with "pop-up menus" as if they are different than the other "menus", can you please clarify?

AllWebMenus can do any kind of menu.

Thank you.

Hello,

        The AllWebMenus Pro is what I wanted and all to be able to do pop-up menus not modal windows. How much is the AllWebMenus Pro? Is it something that I have to include all of the code in my file or can a reference it from your site and how easy is it to use.

Doug

Hello Doug,

AllWebMenus Pro costs $65, see here:

http://www.likno.com/awmregister.php

You create the menu, then compile the files and add a little code on your web pages (the "menu-linking" code).

You do not add all the code on every page, just the linking code to the "javascript files" that are created when you compile from the AllWebMenus application.

Thank you.

Hello,

Do you have to have a special compiler to make this work?

Doug

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

No, I mean that "AllWebMenus Pro" is this "compiler". Our application does the compilation of the final JavaScript based on your settings inside the interface.

Thank you.

Support Case Month: February 2014

I have a scroller that is interacting with a menu (not your menu) but I have found that if I change the z-index, it seems to solve my problem.  I can not seem to figure where I can change the z-index for the class "likno_scroller_container liknoscroller_container_area" which is defaulting to "3".  If I change it to "2" one of my problems is solved.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Earl,

Please click here:

z-index of jQuery slider

You will find the Z-Index property there. Change that to "2". It may work but I am not sure as it depends on what the other script does too.

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Initial Email Subject: close modal window and open new window location
Support Case Month: February 2014

Is it possible to open a modal window with two links that when clicked would close the modal window and change the window location in the browser. For instance:

Use our phone site button: when clicked closes the modal window and changes the browser window to indexphone.htm

Use our main site button: when clicked closes the modal window and changes the browser window to index.htm

Thank you,
Sheldon

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Sheldon,

I think you can just have the link (without the closing) so when you click that it will open the page you want and the modal window will be closed.

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you.

Hi Aggelos,

Works perfect although I have no idea why since there is no code that says to close the modal widow or to open these links in the parent window. I assume that these functions are built into your (awesome) script. My sample is at {URL REMOVED}. I will be implementing it in a month or so.

As always thank you for the great tech support,

Sheldon

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Sheldon,

Glad to see it works as you wanted Smile

You just use the link so when you click it the page you want will be opened thus the modal window will be closed, that's why you don't need anything extra to close the modal window.

Thank you.
