Hello,

I am able to see the web scroller offline, as I build it, it works fine. I have purchased a license, activated it, and then recompiled it, and have uploaded all appropriate files to my host. I can see the web scroller tags in the source code on the page. It does not load. Can you help?

Thank you,
Mary

Dear Mary,

This happens because you have compiled your scroller project for “localhost”:

scroller compiled for localhost

If you purchased a 3-domain license, then you need to specify for which domain you are compiling each time.

Please go to the Compile Properties of your project and select the appropriate domain from the combo box:

scroller domain

If this combo box only shows “localhost” then you need to take a new Activation Code (don’t worry, this does not count towards your activation limit) in order to pass the online license info into your installation. You will need to do this again if you add more domains online.

As you can see from the attached image  I do have it compiled for the localhost AND the specific domain..{URL REMOVED}
The order in which I did things,
make sure it was to be compiled for localhost AND {URL REMOVED}
link to specific page in website
save
close program
open ftp
transfer all files from local to website.
I have done this numerous times and it still does not show up in the online website

Thanks, Mary

Dear Mary,

The process should be:

1) make sure the domain is correct

2) Compile (not Link)

3) upload

The Link is only required once in order to attach the Linking Code to the page. The Compile is required each time you change something in your project.

Hi

Using the Likno Web Scroller software, how do I? (see URL for reference)

1) Remove the Scroller Top Text "Latest News from RSS feed"

2) Delete the Scroller Top Banner?

3) Change the color of the Scroller Top?

Please advise. Thanks

SL

Hello,

All the things you asked can be changed in the Style Editor under the “Areas” section:

Style Editor Areas Properties

Here you can change the text or appearance of any area (top, bottom, left, right).

HI Guys,
A couple of things. When you open Web scroller, it would be great if you could see the last projects you were working on, like Adobe does. When working on a slideshow it would be great if you could see the current item. Having the slide show showing is great but if you've got a large complicated project you want to see what the current slide looks like.

Dear Colin,

Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the recent projects, you should be able to access these through the "Project" menu:

recent scroller projects

Regarding the selected item, the preview should always start with the “current” item in view:

preview current slider item

Does this not happen in your case? Or did you maybe mean something else?

Dear Kostas,

How are you first of all? and thank you for your support of old, I Have a situation I need to create a scrolling list as usual, but every new item I add I need it to be first, is it possible in Likno?

Thanks in Advance
Mohssin

Dear Mohssin,

The order is defined by the order in which you put the items in the application (or in the UL/LI or DIV structure if this is what you use).

I already use three of your applications and I'm considering the web scroller builder.  What I want to do is scroll several pictures like a slide show, one image at a time.  Would web scroller builder be appropriate for this task?

Thanks,

Brad

Dear Brad,

Yes it would. You can check Example no 9 in our online examples page to see this:

(open the modal, then click “9” on the pager at the bottom)
