Hi,
I have a website with a menu that no longer works in IE 10 or 11.  It is unusual in that the menu bar is at the bottom of the page, and instead of dropping down, it pops up above the link.  If I get your AllWebMenus Pro, is there a way to be able to create this?  Will it work in all versions of Internet Explorer (I tend to call it Internet Exploder)?
Thanks,
Steven

Hello Steven,

First, thank you for your interest in our Likno Products.

Yes, you can create that kind of menu with AllWebMenus Pro. If you position your menu relative to Window at the bottom, the following result will be automatically created, as the submenu automatically will open above the main menu items. Of course, you can also do more settings on this.

If you wish, you may download AllWebMenus Pro http://www.likno.com/download.html and give it a try.

AllWebMenus produce menus that will work alike in all modern browsers (including Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11) and all devices (tablets/smartphones).

Do not hesitate to contact us in any case.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

I am currently using javascript driven drop-down navigation menus.
These will not work in Internet Explorer without a special line of code.
My menus will also not work on tablets or smartphones.
I need a CSS driven menu, but I also need a short learning curve and something that will adapt to my websites, which you can see by following the link in my signature.
I am hoping there is a way to create the menu in your system, have the ability to edit it as my client’s websites change, and copy and paste some code into the source code of my websites to make them work.
I am open to suggestions and your services.
John

Hello John,

First, thank you for your interest in our Likno Products.

AllWebMenus Pro is a well-known software for creating stunning menus (JavsScript/CSS) full of features. The most important part is that you don't need coding skills, as the software creates all the code you need. All menus produced by AllWebMenus Pro are going to work perfectly in all modern browsers (including Internet Explorer 11) and devices (tablets/smartphones).

I would recommend you to download AllWebMenus Pro (http://www.likno.com/download.html) and give it a try.

You create your menu, then you compile it and you link it to your pages. So,  you can either link the menu to your client's pages or copy the linking code and paste it to the pages you want it to appear.

According to your menu positioning settings, you may need to add 1 more line of code to your pages so that the menu will be linked.

By default a menu project is set to JavaScript. If you need it as a CSS menu you should select that to Menu Genre, as shown below.

CSS menu

If you select the CSS menu, the population of the menu items will be done using a UL/LI structure.

Clicking on Settings and then "<UL><LI> structure based on your current project's structure" you will see the structure for your menu. Copy that and paste it to your page.

menu structure code

Of course, do not hesitate to contact us in case you need further help.

Note also that we have more Web Design Tools (such as Modal Windows, Sliders, Tabs etc) that you might find useful as you create client's websites.

You may want to take a look here: http://www.likno.com/jquery-builders/examples.php?p=awm&e=htmlmenu (navigate through our examples).

Kind Regards

Before renewing I'd like to know if I can simply install the new version of AllWebMenus and compile my "old" menu without making changes.

Reason is - the menu function I have (Version 5.2 - Build 814) is sufficient for my needs, but the menu doesn't show in IE9 without going into compatibility mode (works fine with Firefox).

But I don't want to have to work the menu totally over, since it is pretty large.

Regards,
Roland

Hello Roland,

Indeed you just need to recompile the project and re-upload the files. See all the steps below:

- Login to your Likno User Area at http://www.likno.com/userarea

- Click the "View/Manage Licenses and Plans":

view manage allwebmenus licenses and plan

- See there if your Update Plan has expired or not.

If "expired" then click the "Renew" link and renew your Update Plan.

- Download the current Version (Build) ( http://www.likno.com/download.html ) and install it.

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link and get a new Activation Code for this updated installation:

AllWebMenus

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is there also a program/update that AllWebMenus will work with Safari or similar browsers on iPhone/Smart Phones?

Regards,
Roland
