I am designing a site in Yahoo Site Builder.  I had previously tied a CSS Menu site which I paid for only to have it NOT work in Internet Explorer but it worked in the other web browsers.  Does yours work in Yahoo Site Builder or Internet Explorer?

Thanks I just don't want to spend the money only to have it not work.

Mark.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Mark,

First, thank you for your interest in our Likno products.

Our menus work in all browsers, this is our most important consideration.

Concerning Yahoo Site Builder, please read the following:

AllWebMenus is compatible with any web editor that allows you to edit the html code of the pages and where you can use your own external files (js files). Yahoo Site Builder (if we are talking about a locally hosted version) takes all the control on its own.

That being said, the case is not as simple as in other html editor that let you handle the code your own way.

1. Make sure that none of the pages is open in Sitebuilder.

2. Open/Create your menu in AllWebMenus.

3. Click on Tools and then click on Compile Menu.

4. Click the "Continue" button. (or if you prefer check the "do not show this dialog in the future" box)

5. Save your Javascript file (.js) in your yahoo site directory.

6. Click on "I want to link the compiled menu to my web pages (required step)"

7. Choose the appropriate webpage(s) in the home directory (ie : :\Program Files\Yahoo SiteBuilder\sites\www.jamesriverphotos.com\ yourwebpage.html) and click the Link button.

8. Click on YES to preview (this is very important)

9. Click on Preview Page

10. Right Click on the webpage that appears and choose View Source from the menu box.

11. Scroll down to the bottom of the HTML until you find

<!-- DO NOT MOVE! The following AllWebMenus linking code section must always be placed right AFTER the BODY tag-->

<!-- ******** BEGIN ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu ********

-->

<script type="text/javascript">var

MenuLinkedBy="AllWebMenus

[4]",awmMenuName="menu",awmBN="628";awmAltUrl="";</script>

<script charset="UTF-8" src="menu.js"

type="text/javascript"></script><script

type="text/javascript">awmBuildMenu();</script>

<!-- ******** END ALLWEBMENUS CODE FOR menu ******** -->

12. Highlight your similar HTML and hit ctrl-C to copy and exit without saving.

13. Close the preview webpage.

14. Return to Sitebuilder and reopen yourwebpage(s) and immediately click on Publish. This will wipe out any local changes that were made during the link process with AllWebMenus. Yahoo Sitebuilder always wipes out the AllWebMenus link process. That's why we will use the HTML Snippet function in Homestead.

15. Click on the Sitebuilder menu and create an "HTML Snippet"

16. Open the HTML Snippet and paste the HTML code you copied

17. Now move the HTML Snippet anywhere on the page that you would like your menu to appear.

18. Save your webpage

19. Go to the file listing in Sitebuilder and click on "refresh"

20. Your .js file  and a subdirectory of awmData-yourwebmenu should appear

21. Click on each of these and then click on Publish

22. Now Publish yourwebpage and preview yourwebpage and your menu should appear. It will work for any type of menu created.

Tips:

- If you want your webmenu to appear exactly where you put your HTML Snippet be sure to make Horizontal and Vertical Distance from Edge value=0. The movement of your HTML Snippet in Sitebuilder will determine where your menu appears.

- Later, each time you make a change to your menu, you should save as the same file name as the original and click YES to replace. Then when asked to create a link click on "I'm done, I've already linked the menu to my pages before" button. Then in Sitebuilder files list click on Refresh and Publish the .js file again.

Also be aware that some changes to your menus may change the awm-Datayourwbpage directory items. Check now and then for highlighted files to publish.

Best Regards,
Aris Filokostas

I have a question regarding AWM.  We are working with someone rebuilding the navigation on our website.  We built our basis with AWM.  He then told us that your program would not support SEO.  I thought that I had read in a few places that it will.  When we are using links in our Navigation will they be recognized by SEO if we build and compile with AWM?

Thanks,
Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Bob,

It does indeed support SEO in two different ways. The first is by using the included sitemap generators (under the “Tools” menu). The second is by using a “ULLI” menu in which case the menu structure (and links) is directly included in every page.

Please check the “SEO” section under Project Properties for more details.

Let me know if you need more specific help.

Kostas

Hello Likno support!

I am working on installing all my applications and tools onto a new computer for me, and I was wondering how I can transfer all my Likno licenses to the new computer?

Thanks!

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Jeremy,

For each Likno product, you need to remove it from the old computer, then install it in the new computer and finally get a new Activation Code (from the Likno User Area) based on the new Installation ID it will have.

Hallo,

since I already have domains, how can I add a Web Accordion to my CMS Website?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Yves,

Our tool is independent of a CMS as long as you can edit its templates and be able to put javascripts online. What is your CMS by the way?

Also, what do you mean by saying "I got one from Switzerland"? You mean a domain for a website? OR a license of our tools? I am not sure what you mean here.

Hallo,

many thanks for your answer. I work with ZP Zeta Producer.

All my domains for example {URL REMOVED} a.s.o. are registered here in Switzerland. Therefore I bought them some time ago also by a swiss Webhoster/Provider.

Is this correct?

· Tools

· Compile for…

· Generic

· Continue for Compile

This page confuses me a little bit. I do have my IP Nr., though I don’t know how I put it into the mask? Or is this the wrong side, in order to upload the accordion to my website?

Many thanks for your great help.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Yves,

Since you have multiple domains, just purchase the unlimited domains license and you will not have to worry about "domains", etc.

unlimited domains accordion license

Concerning your Builder, I assume that it allows you to add your own code inside the pages. If yes, then you need to add the linking code inside the page and/or positioning code for the accordion. Also, you need to add the "likno-scripts" folder where the compiled project will be and upload it (publish it) online.

Let me know if this is not clear. Thank you.

Reply From: Yves

Hello again,

that means, the purchase of unlimited Domains License has nothing to do with a registration of a new Domain (for example yves@yves.ch) through you?

As I understand, for other CMS as Joomla, I chose under Tools „Generic“. And then? To be honest, I have no idea, what I have to add to below field (as I send it to you earlier – see below this mail).

Do I get the "likno-scripts" folder, once I have bought the licence?

Pls I need some more help. Furthermore English is not my language. Do you have a video under youtube.com, where it explains, how to add the accordion to a CMS?

Will it be finally a quellcode or what is it called?

Many thanks in advance for your great help.

Kind regards

Yves

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Yves,

First, please make sure that you edit this folder to be like the following: (I see that you had changed that to "root")

compiled subfolders

It should point to the "likno-scripts" folder.

When you compile your project all your compiled files will get inside this folder that is relative to the ROOT folder that you specified here:

site root accordion folder

Just make sure that you upload everything contained in this folder online (and its subfolder), relative to the root folder of your online CMS. Then add the linking code to your page, that should point to the accordion project.

Hello,

unfortunately, I still was not able to put it online.

What do I do with the Sample Code, which appears under F4?

I’ll be very happy, once it will work : )

Hello,

what I have done so far (my layout incl. Text and pictures):

web accordion properties

An upload via FileZilla:

Likno-scripts which includes:

Likno_accordion_lib.jscontaining.js which includes:

Jquery.js

Likno_accordion_libs.js

Likno_accordion_projects.js

Added this code to my CMS Website

likno accordion script

What did I forget?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I see from your screenshot that you have the TRIAL version and you can only compile for “localhost”.

This means that your accordions will only show locally and not when you upload them into your site.

If you want you can send me the URL of your online page and I can confirm this.

What do I have to do the next time?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

I am afraid that you can only see it online *after* you purchase and activate the application.

With the TRIAL version you cannot see it online.

Why do I get this msg?
I don’t understand!

Likno Web Accordion Builder
Allocation Error

An error was detected while trying to allocate.
spital-webdesign.ch domain is already allocated through another license of yours.
There is no reason to allocate the same domain to another license.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

We had put the domain ourselves so that you do not lose time, this is why you got this message.

All is OK with your domain, so now this is what you should do:

1. Get a NEW Activation Code from your User Area and enter it again inside the application, so that the DOMAIN is updates inside the application

2. RE-compile and RE-upload all compiled files online

3. Do not forger to enter the positioning ID inside an element of your CMS (see the sample code):

web accordion position id

If you are not sure how to do this, you may also choose to replace an image that you add somewhere inside your page, by choosing this option instead:

web accordion positioning

Don't forget to choose the proper domain when you re-compile your projects. It should appear in the "domains" list of project properties.

Dear Customer Service:

Today I'm using Web Tab Builder and got some strange problems.

I created a new project referring to example03b, the picture has exactly same size and preview worked correctly, but when I put the code into my JSP file and the strange thing happen. The first picture position is incorrect but the 2nd and 3rd pictures are correct, would you please tell me how to correct the problem? Please find the screenshot in attachment.

Many thanks,
Shenhao

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Shenhao,

I tested your site and it seems that the problem is caused by the jQuery UI tab you are using.

It seems that you are putting the Likno tab into another tab and this is affecting the way the Likno tab appears. If you leave the Likno tab directly into the page, it appears fine!

Dear Kostas:

Thanks for your help. I understand. BTW, is there any way to integrate LiknoTabs into other tools? Do you have any advices?

Thanks and best regards

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Shenhao,

What do you mean exactly? Do you want to put a Tab within other Likno programs? (e.g. within an Accordion, Modal Window or other Tab?)

If this is the case, the easiest/safest way to do this is to add it as “external url”. To do this you have to create a separate HTML page that has the Tab, and then use this as content for one of the other products.

If this is not what you asked me, then please explain in more detail, specifying the “other tools” you are referring to.
