Hi,

I followed the steps outlined in the help file. I created my tooltip.

Put the name of the tooltip into allwebmenus/ Style/ tooltip Style for mouse over.

I linked both projects to my page. Compiled both. I checked to make sure the js file was where it was supposed to be. When  I mouseover the allwebmenus item nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks,  Brad

Dear Brad,

The problem is that you have not set the tooltip as an “AllWebMenus” tooltip:

set tooltip as AllWebMenus tooltip

You HAVE to do this if you want the tooltips to work in AllWebMenus.

Then if you want to load an external page, you can do this with code within AllWebMenus:

tooltip value to load external page

Just make sure that the iframe size matches the tooltip size…

Kostas,

I have it working now.  I updated my version of AllWebMenus and that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks for your help,
Brad

Hello Brad,

This is where you will find information on how to use a  stylish tooltip produced with the separate Likno Web Tooltips Builder product:

web tooltips add-in for AllWebMenus

Then click the "Help" button:

help on using tootips in AllWebMenus

You will read there how to integrate the two products.

Dear Kostas,

I hope you are doing fine.

Is it possible to manage the tooltip colors (background, text etc) dynamically or external from the default css file? Is that also possible for the modal window builder?

Many thanks,
Paolo

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Paolo,

I am afraid that this is not currently possible, as the styles are applied by the Modal library directly onto the Modal Window elements and would overwrite any external CSS.

The same thing applies to the tooltips, although it may be easier to override it there as the style is static (in the sense that it does not change when you mouse-over etc.).

If you open the compiled js file of the tooltips, you will see that there are two places where the styles are defined as actual CSS classes that are appended to the document head. I guess that if you know your coding, you can overwrite (or override) these with your own values.

Still, I am afraid that we cannot provide any support and guidance on this, and it will be your sole responsibility to ensure that things work correctly and cross-browser.

I have another question about tootip builder which I also bought.

It comes in conflict with another jQuery I am using for a thumb-slider… it seems they are not working together… then I made the icons with tooltips as an iframe but the iframe it too small to show the tooltips… on the other hand I cant make the thumb-slider as an iframe…

Do you have any suggestion??

Thanks,
Paolo

Our applications can work together without problems, but you must make sure that you are using the latest version of each application.

Regarding the conflict in your page, this may be resolved automatically if you use the latest version. If not, please send me the URL to check it out.

my question is if sometime you will make your apps for mac os in a native way inter using a virtual windows?

thanks

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Raul,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately the installation file is available only for Windows.

However, our MAC customers use third-party software for emulation, without any problems reported so far.

Here are all your options to run Windows applications on an Intel-powered Mac:
