Support Case Month: February 2014

Hi,

I have installed an AWM menu on the home page of {URL REMOVED} and I have set 4 versions of the menu to suit different devices by setting the various width limits.

It looks pretty good in two of the versions, but the menu keeps going away as a change the viewport width.
It was working well before I upgraded to the latest AWM build #928.

Please investigate and advise.

Thanks,
John

Hello John,

Could you tell me in what browser do you experience this issue?

I tried in Chrome, Firefox and IE10 and the menus seem to work well in all versions.

Is it possible to send me a screenshot to help me understand the issue better?

Also, please export and send me your project file, so that we can have a better look at the problem.

This is what you should do to export your project into a ZIP file and then email this ZIP to us.

Hi Aggelos,

The problem occurs in all browsers - Firefox, IE, and Chrome.

The menu will appear in the browser when I open it on the desktop. However, when I change the width of the browser, it will disappear until I change the width some more and then it will reappear. There seems to be a gap where ver.2 should be and ver. 4 does not appear at all, no matter how narrow I make the window.

I have included two screenshots of the home page in the Firefox "Responsive Design View where you can see the difference from view1 at 1003px width and view2 at 999px width.

Thanks,
John

Hello John,

This happens because you have positioned menu versions 2 and 4 relative to an element with ID="ProductPanelMenu3 "

menu positioning settings

But there is no such an element in your page, thus the menu cannot be displayed.

page source code

Please, either insert that element in your pages or change the menu positioning in menu versions 2 and 4 relative to an element that exist in your page.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Hi Aggelos,

That worked great. Didn't realize I had to do that.
