Dear Shraddha,

In order to add a modal window to your page you need to:

1) create your modal window project in the application (you’ve done this)

2) “Compile” and “Link” this project to your existing webpage

3) If you want the modal window to be triggered by a specific page element, then add the appropriate code to that element

Modal Window settings

If you did all of the above and the modal window still does not show, please send me:

1) your project

2) your HTML page

And tell me exactly which element should open the modal.

Kostas

Support Case Month: May 2012

Hello Support:

I am looking for a script (more like your tooltip script) that does the following:

When I mouseover a link, it shows a preview image of the web page. You should also be able to click on that same link to be transferred to that web page.

Please go to http://www.codecanyon.net and mouseover their images. You see a preview of the web page and then can also click on it to go to that page. Can the tooltip script do this? Do you have a script that can do this?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

What you describe (showing a preview of the linked site) would be possible only through an online service that does this (taking screenshots of all sites out there). A service that can do this for example is “thumbalizr.com”. Using their API along with our Tooltips you can achieve the desired effect.

Also note, that having the sites as screenshot images will likely work faster than using a real online screenshot service (but then again, you’ll need to make a screenshot for each link manually).

Hello Kostas:

Thank you for your response:

To manually insert an image as a preview is fine.  However, can the Tooltips or any of the Likno scripts do a mouseover (to preview the image) and also have the capability to click on the link to go to that page. It appears that two actions (mouseover and click) have to be available to do what CodeCanyon does.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Of course! With Tooltips, you can show the tooltip on mouse-over and the link will work normally.

Note that these are standard page links with images in them. You do not need an extra script to make the link work. The tooltip is the only thing on top of a standard link.

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,
my Admin told me to contact you. He had done my webpage with Likno Software. Unfortunately it doesn't work with Safari. With IE and Firefox perfect. My Customers using Safari have problems, because no Buttons are shown at the Menu.
Do you know, why? Can you help me please!
best, Gerald

Dear Gerald,

The problem is that your menu has been compiled with a very old version of AllWebMenus that did not support Safari 5 (as Safari 5 was released about a year later and introduced some new incompatibilities).

I see that you have extended your Update Plan this March, so you are eligible to free updates up to March 2013.

Please download the latest version from your Likno User Area account  (and if required, also get a new Activation Code):

download latest AllWebMenus version

Then please recompile ALL your menu projects, and upload the new compiled files (including the “awmdata” folder).

This will make your menus support all the latest browsers and mobile devices.

Let me know if you find any problems.

Regards,
Kostas

Initial Email Subject: Display of multiple menus on one webpage
Support Case Month: July 2012

I am trying to display two separate menus on the same webpage. One is horizontal and the other vertical. I have linked both menus to the webpage using the compile function. Each menu has a different name. Both are positioned using the element option. The menus are compiled into the awmdata folder. The awmdata folder and the .js scripts are in the www.ok-safe.com/ root path. The horizontal menu displays and the vertical does not. The menu type that is not displaying is #15 - Smooth Scroll. The allocated space of 1200 x 500 for the menu is evident but no menu (see above URL). I am at a loss as to why the #15 menu type doesn't display. What is the likely problem?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

It seems that you have set your vertical menu (“Randy_Bright_Smooth_Scroll”) to be populated in the page using a UL/LI structure.

However there is no such structure in your page, hence your menu has no items! Note that when you select the UL/LI method, you have to enter the UL/LI structure in your page(s) manually.

I suggest that you set the menu back to being populated within the application:

populate menu inside project

Let me know if you need anything else.

Dear Sir,

I have been able to create the menu successfully. But my problem is that I am unable to locate the path correctly. I am struggling since yesterday.  When link my web page with the compiled menu and view it in the local browser, the menu does not come in my web page.
Please find attached screenshots of my work and kindly advise.

Best regards
Indira

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Indira,

According to your screenshots you did everything correctly, up to the Linking point. I assume you then selected your HTML files, passed them to the right side and hence Linked the menu to your files, right?

link menu to the files

One other thing that I noticed from your screenshots however, is that you set the menu to be a UL/LI menu:

populate menu inside your page through UL/LI items

This means that the menu will ignore the structure you have in the application, and look for a UL/LI structure in the page. If you do not have such a structure in your page, then the menu will not show!

I suggest that you change this for now to “populate inside this project”:

populate menu inside the project
