Hello,

I bought your Tab Builder yesterday and I like it very much, but there are a couple of things that I am not sure about.

I use "Serif WebPlus X7" as software for my website and saves it`files as project-files with ending  "wpp".

I can export it to my hard disc e.g as html and open them with Dreamweaver.

I can also import html-fragments into WebPlus. Please see attached files to see what it looks like.

I`m not sure what and where to paste the Tab builder "script, html and so on”.

I would say that WebPlus is a little bit like Adobe Muse. I used Muse before and am "rebuilding" my site in WebPlus. If you check {URL REMOVED} you will see my site with panels, tabs and accordions (built with Muse) I am going to use your Tab builder instead (Nothing similar in WebPlus) I Would be very, very grateful if you could help me so I can embed what I need of Tabs at my pages in WebPlus!

I will also get your Scroller Builder today - It seems to be a good complement to the Tab Builder.

I assume I will have no problem with implementing Scroller once I understand how to do it with Tab.

You think you can help me before this weekend starts. I would like to work with my site during the weekend.

Best Regards from a rather rainy and "grey" Sweden

Jan

Hello Jan,

First, thank you for your kind words and your purchase Smile

The easiest way is when you are done editing your tabs click on Sample Code, there you will find highlighted the code you need to add to your pages.

The number 1 is the linking code for the tabs and you need to insert it right under the <body> tag of your pages.

The number 2 is the positioning code for the tabs and you need to insert it exactly in the place where you want your tabs to appear in your page.

jquery tabs sample code

As I saw in your screenshots it should be easy for you to do it.

I need to leave the office for now, but I 'll check the email from home during weekend in case you need more help.

Thank you and have a nice weekend Smile

Hi,

I have a problem.

I using AllWebMenu at our website. I want: when you click my menu to go to new page, I want the submenu to open in this page.

How do I do this?

Thanks,
Nagehan

Hello Nagehan,

In general, when you want a menu item to go to a link on mouse click you can define that link by selecting the item you want and insert the path in the Link property.

link property of a menu item

If you want the submenu item to be open when the new page opens, go to Global Properties -> Show Item or Group on Appear and make the settings that best fit your needs.

This way, the menu item will be highlighted according to your settings.

Please, let me know if I can be of further help.

Thanks for your help.  I purchased the new software and it seemed to solve the problem.  The menu now appears in my website.
However, there is a problem that I have been unable to solve.  I can navigate through all the pages except when I return to the home page.  When I do that, it can't find the home page.   I have recompiled and I have insured that the shared bottom border is selected for all pages in Frontpage 2000.

Can you offer any help?

Hello Bob,

First, thank you for updating your software's license.

The problem happens because you have a wrong link in your "Home" menu item.

In order to correct that you need to go to your menu project, select the "Home" menu item and go to Link property. There you need to have the correct link.

After you have done the change, you need to re-compile your menu project and re-upload all the produced files.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Support Case Month: July 2013

Hi everybody

My name is Peter, also known as Dr. Z. I'm in the process of updating the visual appearance of our website.

A website was developed in Dreamweaver with Firefox in 1998 through 2000.
I've not been able to use the AllWebMenus with the Dreamweaver templates which our website is based on.
As you can see, currently I'm positioning the menu below the main image on the page.

That works quite nicely as you can see here on the test server {URL REMOVED}
the currently functioning website is {URL REMOVED}

The only problem is: different folders have different main images with different image names.

Is there a solution to this?
In other words can I position the menu on different pages relative to different images?

If the answer is yes, please tell me how to do this.
I've tried to position the menu relative to a page element in the Dreamweaver template.

Every time I do that, most of the template somehow disappears.

This may have to do with the fact that there  are no body tags  in the template.
Please respond to me soon... I hope this is solvable.

Hello Peter,

As I see in your new page the whole page is based in this table:

<table width="800" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bordercolor="#000000"
border="0" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" align="center">

My recommendation would be to position your menu based to this, which I guess is the same in all of your pages. Give this table an ID and set the proper menu positioning in AllWebMenus.

For example:  In menu positioning select the default ID and then set the offsets of your desire to fit your design and then your code should have this ID

<table id="awmAnchor-menu" width="800" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"
bordercolor="#000000" border="0" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"  align="center">

menu positioning

Or you could do that with another element that will be in all of your pages.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thank you!

Aris

Hi Aggelos,

Thanks for your help.

So basically I followed your advice and inserted a table with the menu ID in the Dreamweaver template.
It works well.

Thanks very much.

My best,
Peter

I like your scroller program and have a use for it.  Is there the ability to swipe with your finger on the scroller to move it along or do you have to tap on the arrows?

Thanks,
John
