Every time I start AllWebMenus Pro I get a message that it is looking for ClipClear.msi to complete installation. I can't find such a file on my Windows 7 system.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Dennis,

Please, uninstall AllWebMenus and clean your registry.

Then, re-install AllWebMenus Pro. Run the installation as an Administrator (right click on the file -> Run as Administrator).

Please, let me know how that worked for you.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Aris

Support Case Month: April 2013

I have a new computer using Windows 7 (64-bit) and have discovered that the menus I have designed using AllWebMenus PRO v. 3.1 are not functioning any more.I am not an experienced webmaster at all and would like to "reactivate" my menus in the simplest possible way so that they can work properly on the latest Windows versions.I am willing to upgrade my AllWebMenus PRO version but the key issue for me is the simplicity in getting the menus recompiled so they can work with new Windows.
Thanks and best regards

Hello,

If you have the old menu projects, it should be a fairly easy procedure.

You need to login to your Likno User Area account, upgrade to the latest AllWebMenus version, compile your menus with this and upload the new files.

Please let me know if you find any difficulties.

Best Regards,
Kostas

Hello Kostas,

I do get this message

automation error

Dear Geoff,

This means that AllWebMenus does not have enough access rights to do what you are asking. This can be caused if you have set the FrontPage to run in “Compatibility Mode” in windows 7, as this also gives it administrator rights.

I believe the easiest way to correct this issue, is to run AllWebMenus “as Administrator”. To do this permanently, you need to right-click on the desktop shortcut, select Properties, then the “Compatibility” tab, then check the “Run this program as an administrator” option. Note that this will only work when you start AllWebMenus from the desktop icon. It will not work if you start AllWebMenus by double-clicking a project file.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear George,

You need to update/upgrade your AllWebMenus and re-compile/re-upload your menu files, as the *old* AllWebMenus version you are using cannot support the latest browsers and standards. Some browser versions did not even exist by that time (e.g. IE9 was officially released in March 2011 and your AllWebMenus version is from 2007!).

How?

- Login to your Likno User Area at http://www.likno.com/userarea

- Click the "View/Manage Licenses and Plans":

view manage menu licenses

- See there if your Update Plan has expired or not.

If "expired" then click the "Renew" link and renew your Update Plan.

- Download the current Version (Build) ( http://www.likno.com/download.html ) and install it.

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link and get a new Activation Code for this updated installation:

get activation code

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Thanks!

Support Case Month: September 2012

Hello.  I'm trying to install a button pack on windows 7.  When i run the installpack.exe it says the program has been detected in in the following dir: "(`6w"  If i try to browse to the correct dir and click install it gives me the error invalid path.

do the button packs work on windows 7 and if they do how do i get them to install correctly?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

We just released a new version of Button Maker (build 162), which (amongst others) now fully supports the Button Packs in 64-bit systems.

Did you get the “invalid path” error in the installer or in the application? If you got this in the application then the new version will resolve it.

You may download it here:
