My question(s) are:

I have been out of the web design arena for 3 years and want to return – do AllWebsPro menus work for the new platforms such as cell, tablets, androids, windows, apple o/s's ?

Are these flash based ?  What about all the java problems I’ve heard about and browsers restricting java and flash, etc.

Do you have a sample site with these – cell phones, tablets, that I can see where AllWebMenusPro are used ?

What editor for these newer applications, cell, tablets, etc., would you suggest?

Thanks,
Donald

Hello Donald,

AllWebMenus supports all the latest browsers and devices (PCs, tablets, smartphones).

The menus created by AllWebMenus can be either JavaScript based or CSS based. There is no flash, so you would not have any problem. The menus will be displayed in any browser.

You may want to see a responsive menu example http://www.likno.com/examples/responsive-menu-above-green-line-resize-page.html (you can either resize your browser window or see that from different devices).

You may also want to see more menu examples: http://www.likno.com/jquery-builders/examples.php?p=awm&e=vertical

For code editing we use and we really like it a lot the PhpStorm which is a really powerful code editor: http://www.jetbrains.com/phpstorm/

But you may need something like Adobe DreamWeaver, WYSIWYG Builder, Microsoft Expression Web. I would propose to take a look on those and see what best fits your needs.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Just upgraded to 5.3 Build 908 every time we open all web menus we get a message saying incompatible version of Server-Side API is installed, where do we get the latest version,

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

This sounds as if the Server-Side API dll was not properly removed, possibly because it was locked by windows.

Please try uninstalling AllWebMenus and then installing again. Let me know if this fixed the problem.

Support Case Month: March 2013

I just installed the Button Maker program. After I made a button, saved it, then when I go back to that file to open it, it wont let me?

clip_image001

It asks me what program should open my button file? and, the button maker is not in the list to open it. Why is this?

I cant seem to save my different master files and or projects?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Robert

Hello,

The screenshot is not very clear, but it seems that after you saved the file you removed the “.wbm” extension. This caused windows to not recognize this file.

Still, your work is not lost! All you need to do to fix this, is to rename the file and add “.wbm” at the end.

Note that you can also open these files in Button Maker without renaming them, but you have to do it from the application using “File->Open”.

If the files have the “.wbm” extension and they still do not work with double-clicking, then I strongly recommend that you install the application again.

Hi Kostas,

The extension of ".wbm" was on the saved files. After I sent you an email, I went to the file, right clicked on it, and choose to open with button maker. It opened the file. I took your advise and uninstalled the program, and reinstalled it. The files open, but they have a different looking icon, its not the full icon as it in the start menu or desk top?

Thanks!

Robert
