Hi Kostas,
I am pleased with the scroller that’s currently on {URL REMOVED} but need to change it from internal assets to an external xml file.
I have looked through your help section but can’t find anything that gives me any information on how to construct the xml file.
As you will see the scroller is used by an Estate Agent, so, being currently based on internal assets I have to continually amend the individual details of the frequently changing properties. I would like to automate this process, so I would guess that an xml file is the way to go.
I could perhaps arrange for an xml file to be constructed from the property database that the Estate Agent uses. The problem is that I don’t know how to write the xml file so that the scroller will display the information correctly. If I could see an example of an xml file, perhaps one that would give us a scroller that looks like the current one on the website with just 2 or 3 properties, I can then see what we need to do.
Are you able to help?
Kind regards,
Alec

Dear Alec,
I believe the best way to go would be to use the “DIVs” population method:

This way you will have the actual content inside your page, which will enhance SEO, and you can still generate it dynamically from a database.
If you go to your current project, change it to “DIVs” and go to the Sample Code tab (F4) you will see exactly what you need to add into your page for this to work.
Let me know if you need any specific help with the implementation.
Best Regards,
Kostas

Hello,
First I want to thank your help on the Mega Drop Down menu of the page in reference. However I haven't finished yet...
1. The About Us Item should have a different width than the other two, but when I do so the webpage and the preview image of the application show me the right width once and then it drops a lighter shadow to match the width of the other two menu items Go Dive and Go Pro (right now is set with the same width than the other two)
2. As you know/notice I'm working with a joomla platform and this site is going to be bilingual, thus I'm using joomfish.... usually I do have problems translating menu because I use Dynamic menu type, but this one I'm using is Static... So in order to add the AW Menu to joomfish I need an .xml file of the component... can you help me? Thanks in advance.

Hello again,
1) If you send me the menu I can check what’s wrong and tell you how to fix it.
2) I am afraid that this is not possible. If you are using a static menu, then you need to simply have a separate menu for each language. You can then use the menu component to specify in which pages each menu should appear.

Kostas

The site http://sukiskincare.com/ was built with many AllWebMenus (as required by the designers). Is there a simple way to generate an XML and Google sitemap for all pages of the site?
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello Stan,
We do have a similar feature in AllWebMenus ("Create Sitemap"), however this cannot be applied in your case because:
1. One of your menus (the main menu) is a "mega menu" which means that many items are actually entire HTML (with many links etc.) and this HTML cannot be included in a sitemap entry (which requires just links).
2. Each project will create its own sitemap. There is no functionality for creating a "global" sitemap derived from multiple menu projects.
So, I am afraid that this cannot be done with AllWebMenus (which has this feature for "simple" and single menus) but you can definitely do this easily by using the Google Webmaster tools:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/
This is more appropriate as it will index all your pages, even the ones that are not included in the menu.

Hello,
Did you by any chance have Trees already open when you copied the files? If so you need to restart the application.
I just downloaded your theme and copied the xml file & folder into the installation Themes folder, and when I opened the Drop Down Menu Trees application the theme appeared without problems:

Hello! We have released a new version of Likno Web Scroller (jQuery Slider) Builder: Version 1.0 build #118.
Check out What's New
- Fully implemented the "Populate the scroller items using an external feed (RSS or ATOM or XML)" feature.

- Improved the library loading method (faster/cleaner/more compatible).
- Improved the image preloading process.
- Added the "Loop - Rewind" feature, which makes the scroller (jquery slider) rewind to the other side and start the items movement from there.

- Added Example 07 (eBay mockup): Similar scroller to the live slider used on eBay (as of July 11, 2012). Use of an *image map* on each scroller item. Use of a "Page Numbers" only Navigation Bar. Use of *Play on Page Load* (automatic play).

- Fixed an issue where the item's tooltip appeared behind the scroller/slider when the scroller was of the "Floating" positioning type.
- Fixed an issue with the Navigation Bar and the "Feed (RSS/ATOM/XML) population method" where it displayed just one page while more than one page existed.
- Fixed an issue with the Navigation Bar where it would appear left-aligned instead of centered in some occasions.
- Changed the "Show Scroller Only" Preview option to always show the scroller centered on the preview page.
- Fixed an issue with "Bullets-only" Navigation Bars where they would appear misplaced in the Preview.
- Updated the Navigation Bar XML files to use better padding values.
- Fixed a rare case where files were deleted when trying to link to them.
- Fixed an issue related to the Navigation Bar when floating over the "Items Area".
- Various interface improvements.
