Support Case Month: January 2014
During the installation of the newest version of the Adobe Extension Package .mxp (v. 05.07.13) for Dreamweaver CS6 there is a hang around in Adobe Extension Manager (newest v. 6.0.8). After close down the process with the Task-Manager although the AllwebMenu-Item seems to be installed right in Dreamweaver. But starting Adobes Extension Manager again, there now is a hang around by loading the Extensions. My operating system is Windows 8.1.
How can I now repair the malfunction of the Extension Manager?

Hello,
My first guess would be to uninstall the AllWebMenus Extension, close everything and then install it again.
Let me know how that worked for you.
Thank you!
Kind Regards.

Hello,
I’ve searched for the extension-entry in all installation-/application-registers, even in ‘Programs and Features’, without any result. As mentioned before, Adobe’s Extension-Manager has a hang around by loading the installed extensions. That’s why I can’t uninstall anything.

Hello,
You can open the Adobe Extension Manager and try to install AllWebMenus again, even if it seems already installed.
And then you will have AllWebMenus DreamWeaver Extension installed once again.
Let me know how that worked for you.
Kind Regards.

Hello,
as I mentioned before Adobe Extension Manager can’t be opened. The program freezes by loading the installed Dreamweaver-extension. What action I have to take?

Hello,
Another way to install AllWebMenus DreamWeaver Extension is by double click the .zxp (or .xmp) file. Does this way can be installed on your machine?
If not, I would recommend you to uninstall Adobe Extension Manager and then re-install it.
Let me know if that worked for you.
Kind Regards.

Hello,
because of the freezing program-panel there is only the uninstalling method left. But there is no selection-entry for ‘Extension manager’ within the ‘Programs and features’ of Windows 8.1, as well there is no uninstall.exe within the program-directory of Adobe’s Extension Manager.

Hello,
What about if you delete the whole folder for the Adobe Extension Manager, restart your computer and then try to install it again? Does this work for you?
Kind Regards.

Hello,
get the problem solved by finding a workaround on Adobe’s website. Starting the ‘Extension Manager’ with administrator rights will debug it. Now the program indicates, that the ‘Dreamweaver Extension’ is installed correctly and there is no use to reinstall it.
