I know it must be one of my settings, but can you tell me what I need to change at so that when I load the page, those submenus do not automatically display.  I DO  have it set to keep track of the url and highlight that.  Is that what is affecting it?

Dear Anna,

Yes, the “highlight” is what is opening your submenus whenever the page loads. There is a special sub-choice to control this if you want the highlight with the submenus closed:

Regarding the copying from one menu to another, currently this is only possible if you “Import” the whole second menu and then cut-out the parts you do not want.
