Hello,

If you changed the windows you had installed, then it is possible that the Installation ID will change.

If it did, then you need to get a new Activation Code from your User Area account. Please login and get a new Activation Code now using your new Installation ID.

I have purchased a new computer.  How can I migrate my AllWebMenus program from my old computer to the new one?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Kerry,

Just install AllWebMenus there and get a new Activation Code for the new Installation ID that will be created there.

To get a new/updated Activation Code, manage your Account/Licenses (Upgrade/Extend), download the latest version, change your Profile (login/email address/name/password), etc.

I have designed a new menu with your program and was able to compile the menu and link to a specific page. The menu shows on the preview but does not on the web (using Front Page) after publishing FTP.

Can you take a look at the page and tell me what is incorrect. I have not used your program for several years and have just extended my license today.

The page is www.bomarinterconnect.com/indexcopy22x.html  It is a temporary page I am using which will replace the existing index page.

Regards,

Bob

Hello Bob,

old version of AllWebMenus

It appears that the menu on your website was compiled with an *old* version of AllWebMenus (see “release history” here: http://www.likno.com/whatsnew.html ).

You need to update/upgrade your AllWebMenus and re-compile/re-upload your menu files, as the *old* compiled menu cannot support the latest browsers and standards. Some browser versions did not even exist by that time (e.g. IE9 was officially released in March 2011).

- First, login to your Likno User Area (http://www.likno.com/userarea) to upgrade your AllWebMenus license.

upgrade license

- Then, download the latest version from http://www.likno.com/download.html

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link, and get a new Activation Code for your installed program:

get activation code

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Thanks!

Thank you for the update.

I have activated the license and have downloaded All Web Menus PRO 5.3. I have republished both the awm data and the page FTP. The menu does not appear. (using Front Page) Is there a position html tag that I must add to have the menu show live?

Bob

Dear Bob,

I just checked your site again and it seems that you still have the old files online!

Please compile your menu again, and make sure that you are uploading the correct files.

Hello,

It appears that the menu on your website was compiled with an *old* version of AllWebMenus (see “release history” here: http://www.likno.com/whatsnew.html ).

You need to update/upgrade your AllWebMenus and re-compile/re-upload your menu files, as the *old* compiled menu cannot support the latest browsers and standards. Some browser versions did not even exist by that time.

How?

- Login to your Likno User Area at http://www.likno.com/userarea

- Click the "View/Manage Licenses and Plans":

view or manage menu licenses and plans

- See there if your Update Plan has expired or not.

If "expired" then click the "Renew" link and renew your Update Plan.

- Download the current Version (Build) ( http://www.likno.com/download.html ) and install it.

- In your Likno User Area, click the "Get Activation Code" link and get a new Activation Code for this updated installation:

get activation code

- Open your old project file (.awm) in AllWebMenus, re-compile it and then upload the new menu files (along with the "awmdata" folder) to your website.

Note that you may need to delete your browser’s Temporary Internet Files (or cache files) before refreshing the page in order to see the menu.

Hi,

We are trying to up load some work on our website using All Web Menus, but we have a problem with the license to log in. It said we need a new code, we done this but it keeps telling me that the code is wrong, can you help please?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

Are you sure that you are using the correct Installation ID? If you downloaded a new AllWebMenus version, then it is possible that is has a new Installation ID.

Also, please keep in mind that with your current license you cannot activate the latest AllWebMenus application. You need to either extend your Update Plan, or you can download an older version from the User Area and activate that instead. If you decide to use an older version, please make sure you uninstall the newer before installing the older one.
