Hello,

I am really hoping Kostas you can help me with this.

I would like to put a pull down menu with All Web Menus on the site (studio.fodphotosite.com)... From before, you said that the menu should work and work well.

The file which contains the menu right now is header.tpl - how exactly do I do this?

The site has been created with PhotoStore 4

Please get back to me and offer full details on how do this.

Thank you so much,

Karen

Dear Karen,

I visited your site and I saw that you already added the Menu Linking Code in the main page (but only there). However you did not upload the Compiled Menu Files!

Please try the following:

1) remove the Linking Code from the index page

2) add the Linking Code to the “header.tpl” – make sure the “src” has a root-relative path, so that it works in folders too (if you have any)

3) upload the menu compiled files to the correct position

Kostas

I have a website and want to add an additional main item on the existing menu. Do I have to compile the menu to each existing page that the menu is currently displayed on in order for the change to take place or is there a way to just save the changes to the menu file and upload that to the server.  There are many pages and so if I don't have to compile each page it would be easier.
Thanks
Harvey

Hello Harvey,
You just re-compile the menu and upload the compiled files on the server (both "menu.js" and the "awmdata" folder files) and this is all.
Every page just has a link to that menu, so no need to re-link, etc. You just make the change, re-compile and upload the compiled files.

Hallo,

since I already have domains, how can I add a Web Accordion to my CMS Website?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Yves,

Our tool is independent of a CMS as long as you can edit its templates and be able to put javascripts online. What is your CMS by the way?

Also, what do you mean by saying "I got one from Switzerland"? You mean a domain for a website? OR a license of our tools? I am not sure what you mean here.

Hallo,

many thanks for your answer. I work with ZP Zeta Producer.

All my domains for example {URL REMOVED} a.s.o. are registered here in Switzerland. Therefore I bought them some time ago also by a swiss Webhoster/Provider.

Is this correct?

· Tools

· Compile for…

· Generic

· Continue for Compile

This page confuses me a little bit. I do have my IP Nr., though I don’t know how I put it into the mask? Or is this the wrong side, in order to upload the accordion to my website?

Many thanks for your great help.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Yves,

Since you have multiple domains, just purchase the unlimited domains license and you will not have to worry about "domains", etc.

unlimited domains accordion license

Concerning your Builder, I assume that it allows you to add your own code inside the pages. If yes, then you need to add the linking code inside the page and/or positioning code for the accordion. Also, you need to add the "likno-scripts" folder where the compiled project will be and upload it (publish it) online.

Let me know if this is not clear. Thank you.

Hello again,

that means, the purchase of unlimited Domains License has nothing to do with a registration of a new Domain (for example yves@yves.ch) through you?

As I understand, for other CMS as Joomla, I chose under Tools „Generic“. And then? To be honest, I have no idea, what I have to add to below field (as I send it to you earlier – see below this mail).

Do I get the "likno-scripts" folder, once I have bought the licence?

Pls I need some more help. Furthermore English is not my language. Do you have a video under youtube.com, where it explains, how to add the accordion to a CMS?

Will it be finally a quellcode or what is it called?

Many thanks in advance for your great help.

Kind regards

Yves

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Yves,

First, please make sure that you edit this folder to be like the following: (I see that you had changed that to "root")

compiled subfolders

It should point to the "likno-scripts" folder.

When you compile your project all your compiled files will get inside this folder that is relative to the ROOT folder that you specified here:

site root accordion folder

Just make sure that you upload everything contained in this folder online (and its subfolder), relative to the root folder of your online CMS. Then add the linking code to your page, that should point to the accordion project.

I’ll be very happy, once it will work : )

Hello,

what I have done so far (my layout incl. Text and pictures):

web accordion properties

An upload via FileZilla:

Likno-scripts which includes:

Likno_accordion_lib.jscontaining.js which includes:

Jquery.js

Likno_accordion_libs.js

Likno_accordion_projects.js

Added this code to my CMS Website

likno accordion script

What did I forget?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I see from your screenshot that you have the TRIAL version and you can only compile for “localhost”.

This means that your accordions will only show locally and not when you upload them into your site.

If you want you can send me the URL of your online page and I can confirm this.

What do I have to do the next time?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

I am afraid that you can only see it online *after* you purchase and activate the application.

With the TRIAL version you cannot see it online.

Why do I get this msg?
I don’t understand!

Likno Web Accordion Builder
Allocation Error

An error was detected while trying to allocate.
spital-webdesign.ch domain is already allocated through another license of yours.
There is no reason to allocate the same domain to another license.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

We had put the domain ourselves so that you do not lose time, this is why you got this message.

All is OK with your domain, so now this is what you should do:

1. Get a NEW Activation Code from your User Area and enter it again inside the application, so that the DOMAIN is updates inside the application

2. RE-compile and RE-upload all compiled files online

3. Do not forger to enter the positioning ID inside an element of your CMS (see the sample code):

web accordion position id

If you are not sure how to do this, you may also choose to replace an image that you add somewhere inside your page, by choosing this option instead:

web accordion positioning

Don't forget to choose the proper domain when you re-compile your projects. It should appear in the "domains" list of project properties.

Support Case Month: June 2012

I could really use some help. Does this AllwebMenus5 program allow me to add navbar or menubars to google blogger? If so i could really use some help right now. I have been working on this for over a week,

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello James,

We doubt that google blogger allows you to upload javascript files on your account.

When the online website builder you are using does not let you upload any files or folders that you like to your online account, a major limitation is imposed to you for using javascript files (like our libraries or any other 3rd-party libraries) on your website.

However, there is a way to use your Likno compiled projects on your website provided that you have access to any other hosting environment that allows files to be uploaded and served (hotlinked) from there.

How this works:

1. Provided that you do have access to an alternative online host that can host and serve files/folders (allowing "hotlinking"), you can simply upload the compiled files and folder there:

For example, after you compile an "AllWebMenus" project, the following compiled folder is created (at the location you specified at "Project Properties").

This folder contains the compiled files.

Therefore, you upload those files and folder somewhere on your alternative hosting account (that should allow "public access" and "hotlinking" of these files).

2. The second step is to update the "src" parameter of the "Linking Code" that you added to your pages, so that it points to the compiled file (.js file) that is now located at the alternative host (using an absolute external URL, starting with "http").

For example, this is a change you should make (for the "Likno Web Accordion Builder", but the same applies to AllWebMenus):

FROM:

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR accordion_example_external_javascripts ******** -->
<script type="text/javascript">var lwacLinkedBy="LiknoWebAccordion [1]",lwacName="accordion_example_external_javascripts",lwacBN="116";</script><script charset="UTF-8" src="likno-scripts/accordion_example_external_javascripts.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- ******** END LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR accordion_example_external_javascripts ******** -->

TO:

<!-- ******** BEGIN LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR accordion_example_external_javascripts ******** -->
<script type="text/javascript">var lwacLinkedBy="LiknoWebAccordion [1]",lwacName="accordion_example_external_javascripts",lwacBN="116";</script><script charset="UTF-8" src="http://www.alternativehost/youraccount/likno-scripts/accordion_example_external_javascripts.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- ******** END LIKNO WEB ACCORDION CODE FOR accordion_example_external_javascripts ******** -->

We are aware that this solution requires that you have access to an alternative host (while you already host your website somewhere else, but with file limitations) which you may not have. However, this is the only way to be able to run javascript files (like our libraries or any other 3rd-party libraries) on your website, since the online builder tool you are using imposes limitations on uploading such files on your website's file structure.

hi,

on my AllWebMenus i have mainstyle(red) substyle(red) and substyle(gray) +

i need to create one more style with another color. how do i do that?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I am afraid that you cannot add a fourth style in the style editor.

Instead you can customize an item to have the style you want:

customize sub item

And then you can copy-paste the style changes to all the items you want:

copy paste style values
