How could I keep a floating image indicator unhidden on a selected menu item? For example, I would like the indicator of the home page to be shown while the user is in the home page.

Hello,

This is not possible exactly the way you describe it. What you can do instead, is to use the floating image on the “click state”, and set your menu to automatically highlight the “current item”.

This will automatically set the “current item” to the “click state”, based on the URL shown in the address bar:

floating image on click state

highlight menu item bases on URL

When I make any selection off my main menu to another web page, I get numbers at the end of it like this:

http://www.bkglrc.com/index.html#.T9dJFcXNl2k

I have two separate menus, with separate folders to contain each JS and image files.  None of my other web sites I use your menus on are doing this.  I'm at a loss for the reason.

The only software that does not produce these numbers is MS explorer.  I see the numbers in Chrome, FireFox, Safari.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you, Paul

Dear Paul,

This is not related to our menus in any way.

I am pretty confident that it comes from the “google translate” code you have in this site.

Note that even if you type the URL by hand in the address bar, it “refreshes” automatically and shows the same code at the end.

Thank you Kostas!

Obviously you are very experienced... I have been staring at this code for weeks now trying to figure out the problem, searching your Q&A data base..

Dear Paul,

Did you verify that it is indeed caused by Google Translate code?

Is there a way to return to a specific spot on a menu (AWM) after the user has followed a link to a different page on the website?

Just wondering.  I thought I saw that somewhere.

Dear Bob,

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

Do you maybe want the menu to highlight the item corresponding to the current page, even if the user came to this page through an external link?

If so, then what you probably saw was the automatic highlight feature:

highlight menu item

Note however this feature works based on the URL seen on the browser’s Address Bar. Hence if you have pages that load inside a frame/iframe, these cannot highlight a menu item as they do not affect the URL.

Will this feature function the same way if it is a Modal window that has been opened? Or will this only work for an actual URL or Linked Page?

Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

To be more precise: This will only work if the URL in the browser address bar matches the link of the menu item.

(so this is a “no” for modal windows, iframes or anything else that does not affect the address bar URL)

Hello

I want to allocate a domain name. For exemple , if I allocate 'mysite.com', can I use yours software (Accordion or Tabs Builder) with a domain name 'www.newsite.com' who is hosted in 'mysite.com' but with a redirection to a directory 'www.mysite.com/newsite/' ?

A. Roelly

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

The domain you need to allocate is the actual domain that will be visible on the browser address bar. So if the final URL you see there is "www.mysite.com/newsite", then allocating the "mysite.com" domain will work fine. If however the address bar displays "www.newsite.com" then you will need to allocate "newsite.com".
