Before I update my support plan, I need to know if your menus work in CMS (specifically Concrete5)? I no longer do web design and creation using other methods.
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello,
We do not have a specific plugin for Concrete, but it should work fine if Concrete5 meets the following two requirements:
1) you should be able to edit the template files or directly add some code in your post (depending on whether you want the menu into a single post or the whole site)
2) you should be able to upload the AllWebMenus compiled files to your server
In either case, I see that your Update Plan expired very recently, so you can use your existing version to test if this works as expected.
To avoid any possible misunderstanding, I need to state here that the expiration of your Update Plan means that you cannot use any newer versions (released after the expiration date). You can still use the version you already have forever – this does not “expire”. So there is really no need to extend your Update Plan until you confirm that your existing version works fine with Concrete5.
Let me know if you need more specific help, also giving me your test URL so that I can see what you have done so far.
Regards,
Kostas

Through the Visible When feature you can specify the menu to show or not, based on rules that you set.
This is useful when you want your menu to appear (or not appear) in special cases.
Example:
You have 2 separate menu projects, one in English language (menu-en.js) and one in German language (menu-de.js), and your website is based on a CMS through which you link both menus to all pages.
You want the English menu to show on the English pages of the website (eg: http://www.mysite/en/page1.html) while the German one on the respective German pages (eg: http://www.mysite/de/page1.html).
This is how you can do this:
On the English menu project (menu-en.js) you set the following condition:

On the German menu project (menu-de.js) you set the following condition:

In that way only one of the two linked menus appear on the web page, depending on the page's language implied by the URL.
Note that you can also use regular expressions in the matching string.

Hello,

Do your products work specifically with ModX Revolution CMS?
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Hello Rick,
First, thank you for your interest in our Likno products.
Our script can be inserted in any html authoring tool, capable to create properly formatted html code.
The only thing relative to the authoring tool is to have the ability to enter the "linking code to the compiled project" in your page's HTML.
Also, you should be upload to upload the compiled "likno-scripts" folder online.

Hallo,
I have two questions:
1.) are there any prerequisites on the server side? And on the client where I create/edit the websites?
2.) I am confused with your license conditions. Is there a package with which I can use your products without limitations?
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Helmut
Reply From: Likno Customer Support
Dear Helmut,
I understand that you are asking about “Server Side menus”. Do you want to create dynamic menus (e.g. based on a database)?
In either case, there are no prerequisites. You can use Server Side menus on all servers and it will be visible to all clients/browsers. Regarding where you actually create/edit the menus, it has to be a windows-based system.
Regarding the AllWebMenus “limitations”, we have two types of license:
1) The standard license is what most users need. With this you are allowed to create unlimited menus for unlimited websites. This will do if you want to add a menu to your site, and it will also do if you are a web-designer and sell sites as a business.
2) The “distributed” license is required for a couple of special cases, such as using the menu within applications or for example if you are selling a CMS and use the menu as an added-value feature.
If you are not sure which license type you need, please let us know how you are planning to use AllWebMenus.
One thing to note for both licenses is that they are “per seat”, which means that if you are a business with 5 PCs and 5 web-designers, then you need 5 licenses.
Best Regards,
