Hi Kostas,

You told me how to fix an issue that I was having but the email was lost or deleted.

Let me quickly explain. The main menu across the top of the page goes a bit over the right side of the page border. This only shows up on other computers not mine. It was brought to my attention by one of our employees. I noticed it on my computer and asked you about it, you told me how to fix it, when I went to fix it, it looked okay and it still does on my computer. I even refreshed it, cleared all cookies and history and still looks fine on my computer, but on others it goes over the edge. I told the others to refresh it, cleared all cookies and history and it still looks the same on there computer?

I would take a screen shot but it still looks okay on my computer?

How does it look on your side?

How can I fix this?

I attached the menu if you need it.  You can always edit it if that is easier and let me know what you did.

Thanks Again!!

Robert

Dear Robert,

In order to correct this problem, please change the positioning to “top side center” for both the menu and the element anchor:

Sorry about this.

Hello,
I have a question about this software.
Please visit my website:
http://www.500dollarlinks.com
Notice the pop window generated with your software.  The window contains a box in the top left corner in which you can check to prevent the window from appearing upon the next visit.  The box is there, but it is not currently working.
My question is, how do I incorporate this feature using the software program?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Have a great day.
Regards,
Angelica

Hello Angelica,

I tried this in my Firefox and it worked.

May I assume that you used this method?

modal window reopen settings

If yes, then please note that a COOKIE is needed, so are you sure that you allow COOKIES on your PC? Because I do (default behavior) and it works (in Firefox).

Initial Email Subject: Passing paired variables
Support Case Month: March 2012

Hi, I am using the Web Tabs Builder and I would like to pass variables to the pages I selected via the body page link.

This however doesn't work. The variables get lost underway.

How can I pass variables via my URL to the tab pages?

Thanks for your help

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I am afraid I will need some more information in order to understand the problem. What kind of variables are you passing, and were?

Is this variable a fixed value that you added into the project?

web tabs settings

Or are you passing different values each time using the JavaScript API?

If you are putting the value in the project, like in the screenshot, note that you can only put a specific value – NOT a variable name to be calculated when you click the tab.

Hello,

I am passing variables from outside the Web Tab to the tab sheets.

Like for instance, the year and month variables I use outside the webtab and I need them in the pages inside the webtabs.

I found a solution in that I use session variables. That works all right.

But I know now that it is impossible to transfer name value pairs from outside the webtab to the pages inside the individual tabs.

Thanks for your rapid answer anyhow.

Best regards,
Hans

Dear Hans,

It is not impossible to pass parameters. This is why I asked you how you are trying to do this.

The session variables will of course work fine, as would cookies. However it is possible to pass even normal parameters if this is what you want. The way to do this however is through the use of the API and the DIVs or UL/LI population method. In this case, you define the tabs content within your page, and you can use your server-side code (PHP, ASP etc) to “write” the correct URL for each Tab Body.

If you still want to do it this way and need more help, do let me know.

Kostas
