Right now I am using Silver Bar Menu.I would like to use another dropdown round menu button that I would be able to change the colors to Red.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I am afraid that this is not possible, as these are fixed images inside this folder:

silver bar menu images

Due to their "degradation" it is very difficult to make the red & blue.

Thanks for the very fast support

Can you suggest a dropdown menu button that I can change the colors.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Look at the horizontal themes and choose one that is "plain", without images on its background, like this for example:

menu example

Then, you can change the colors yourself through the style editor.

I need to use a rounded dropdown menu that I can change the colors to.I also need it about the same length.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

If you want to make the submenu rounded, you just need to adjust the related style property:

Support Case Month: March 2013

Dear Kostas,

Is it possible in the sliding menu or any menu to make one menu item a different color?

For example: if you look at my sliding menu, the last item says "Go back to top of the page" could that item have a black background, and on mouse over turn gray?

I want the "Go back to the top of the page" to be more noticeable? so it catches your eye and not blend in so much.

If I change things it changes the entire menu?

Can I just change one Item?

Please let me know.

Thanks Again!
Robert

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello Robert,

You can select this particular item, and "customize it" by changing the properties you like:

To do so, please click this first:

Will your software allow custom background and width for all buttons on all levels? (Most important is the top level needs custom art for each button; on and off states.

thanks for your response.

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

Yes, our menus can be fully customized, not only per "level" but also per "item" (button).

Each menu item can have a different design for the top level and all other levels (which are unlimited).

I suggest that you download and play with the Trial version:

http://www.likno.com/download.html

You can set the main styles (per level) in the Style Editor:

Then you can “customize” each item as you wish in the Menu Editor:

Hello again,

Let me answer your questions in turn:

1) Yes we have indeed tested our products in iPhone and iPad, as well as many other smartphones and tablets. AllWebMenus fully supports all the latest browsers and mobile devices.

2) Yes, it is HTML5 compatible.

3) The “boxes” you see is most likely the background color of the Group. Please check if you have a “Distance Between Items” that will allow the Group background to show:

My question is about AWM.  I know I can center a menu on it's parent.  Due to length, there may be some I want to center and some I want to open from the bottom up.  But I also know I ran into a problem before because I can only have a limited amount of styles.  Is there anything I can do about this?  Also can I created another level of styles?  Some of my Menus go little deeper than any of your examples show.  Is this possible?

Thanks,

Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Bob,

I am afraid that you cannot create more styles in the Style Editor.

Still this should not be too much of a problem, as you can easily customize any submenu:

submenu properties

Once you style your submenu, you can also easily Copy & Paste all the customizations to other submenus:

copy paste values to submenus

When I change a value in SubMenuGroups Style+, doesn’t it apply that value to all SubMenus that use SubMenuGroups Style+.  The values are held within the Groups Style right?  I don’t see where I can tell it I only want to change one submenu and not all of them.  I did see this option in Modal Windows but not sure where it is in AWM.

Can you please advise?

Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello again,

If you change a style in the Style Editor, then this will apply to all items that use this style.

If you change the specific Item’s customized style values in the Menu Editor, then the changes will apply to this specific item only.

Please see the screenshot more carefully if you are still not clear on where you need to change the style.

So if I want to make a change to only one SubMenu Group, then I would select Custom Values instead of All Values???

Bob

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Bob,

When you want to change a single item, you need to perform the change in the Menu Editor, on that specific item.

While on that item, the “All Values” will display all values you can customize, and the “Custom Values” will only display those which already have custom values.

Hi Kostas,

I have one last request. I just need to space out the main menu options on top. What would you suggest to be the best way to do this?

Thanks
Cary

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Cary,

Actually I checked your menu again and I see that it is pretty wide already! It is so wide (although transparent) that it creates a horizontal scrollbar to your site:

menu is so wide that creates horizontal scrollbar

I assume that this happens because you set it to “Menubar” (so it takes the width of the page):

menu is set to menubar

My suggestion is that you remove the “Menubar” setting, and instead just give it the size you want using the “minimum width”:

minimum width of menu

Also, a final suggestion regarding your Positioning. First, find the following code in your page (where the Positioning Anchor is contained):

<td width=200 valign="middle">

<center><a href="/Products.asp?t=Products" class="redlink">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <img src="/demo/dotb.gif" border="0"><font face="arial" size="1" color="black"><span id='awmAnchor-conestmenu'>&nbsp;</span></a><b>PRODUCTS</b> &nbsp; &nbsp;</center></td>

And change it into this:

<td width=200 valign="middle" id='awmAnchor-conestmenu'>

<center><a href="/Products.asp?t=Products" class="redlink">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <img src="/demo/dotb.gif" border="0"><font face="arial" size="1" color="black"></a><b>PRODUCTS</b> &nbsp; &nbsp;</center></td>

So that the menu is attached to the <td>. Then go to the AllWebMenus Positioning and do something like this:

menu positioning settings

Of course you can adjust the offsets accordingly…

Good idea. I’ll see what it does. Also, why is the dropdown menu skewing off to the left? Is there any way to center it under the group choices?

Is there any way that I can make the dropdown menus more responsive on the mouse over? There are times when it takes a few passes over the menu choice before the drop down appears. We can’t afford to have our customers play mouse games to access any menu features.

Thanks
Cary

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Cary,

I see that your submenus disappear too quickly and sometimes you have to be quick to move the mouse over them.

To fix this you need to put some delay on the “Disappears How” feature, and maybe also bring the submenus closer to the main menu items (they have a couple of pixels empty space between them.

Thanks. What would I change to bring the submenus closer?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Dear Cary,

Try “appears where” (of which I sent a screenshot two mails ago).

Note: I strongly recommend that you take some time to skim through the different application properties.

This way you will have a general idea of what you can do and where to find it.
