How can I remove an older menu from a Frontpage website? Is there an easier way than deleting the folder and code? I tried to do that but for some reason the old menu still shows up. (The URL is the live site that is on, i'm working on the site through Frontpage on my hd) Is there an easier way to remove the old menu?

Hello,

If you added the menu using the FrontPage add-in, the easiest way to take it off is again through the add-in. Just choose the “Delete Menu” option.

If you added the menu Linking Code manually, then I am afraid that you also have to remove it manually.

Hello.

I have upgraded/installed AllWebmenus Pro build 900.  At startup I get the attached error message.  However, when I go to the website listed in the error message it says that all builds above 888 already include the updated/proper API.  It does not give me a download link because I should not need one.

So what am I suppose to do???

Brian

Dear Brian,

It seems that during one of your re-installations you got stuck with the wrong dll file. This can happen sometimes, especially if you try installing an older version without first uninstalling your current one.

The solution is easy: Uninstall AllWebMenus and even delete manually any left-overs, then re-install the version you want.

Hello,

I just tested your site and I see both menus working fine in all browsers! Did you maybe forget to delete your browser’s “cache files”?

Hi Costas,
Thanks for that. After I compiled all my menus and cleared the cache it worked fine.

I have updated the link Assn News/Current Newsletter from {URL REMOVED} to {URL REMOVED}, but the webpage still displayed the -1 version.

Within the AWM program the correct link shows, but not on the actual website.

Hello,

I checked your site and I do see the correct link online. Did you try deleting your browser’s cache files?

Hi,

I hadn’t tried deleting my browser’s cache files, but always do before shutting down.  When I came back online, the link worked just fine.  I’ll try to remember that.

Thank you.

I have deleted my .awm file. but I still have the menu.js and menu.css. Is it possible to recover the .awm file?

Reply From: Likno Customer Support

Hello,

I am afraid that it is not possible to automatically recreate the awm file from the js file.

However you have two ways out of this:

1) AllWebMenus automatically keeps backups of your menus in case something like this goes wrong. You should find these under:

c:\Users\<your user here>\AppData\Roaming\Likno Software\AllWebMenus\AutoBackup

In there you should find a separate folder for each menu project you edited, containing up to the five most recent saves of your project. Note that this will always be “one before the last” so you may lose some of your work, but you get most of it (assuming you saved often).

2) If you lost the project because you lost the whole PC (or hard drive) then you may be interested in the second solution. We offer a "partial reconstruction" service to get the Menu Structure of your project into a new project file (.awm). This is a manual process and costs $89, provided that the size of the menu is not too large. You can find more information on this here:
