On the page given, you can see that the menu will appear under the PDF document, which is generated via javascript.  How can I make the menu appear on-top of the PDF document?

I have the z-index of the menu set to 9999 and the Div containing the PDF set to 1.

Thanks for any assistance.

Dear Rick,

The reason is that these files have special plugins that fully take over the part of the browser where they appear and ignore the z-index.

Nonetheless, we have developed a special fix for IE6 that seems to also work in this case. Please go to the Project Properties in the “Optimization” section and select the “iframe fix”:

menu properties, iframe fix

If this does not work, please let me know and also export and send me your menu project so that I can run some more tests:

export menu project

Hi,
when I insert a webtab with PDF inside an html page, it covers all the drop down menus which were not build in allwebmenus program. How do I change the settings so the webtab with PDF goes behind everything. I know I can change z-index on allwebmenus settings, but how do i change it with webtab builder? or how do i get around this issue?

Hello,

I am afraid that what you are asking for is not possible. The reason is that the PDF files are using a special Adobe PDF plugin to show in the browser, and this plugin fully takes over the specific browser part and always appears on top.

This is not related to our programs, nor can it be resolved using AllWebMenus or any other application. If you simply add an iFrame in your page with its src pointing to a pdf file you can test this for yourself. The same applies for Word or Excel documents (and others) that use similar plugins to display within a browser.

Hi Kostas, I'm sure this is a dumb question but is there a way to use the modal window in an email? I email a newsletter once a month and would like to use in it if possible.

thanks,

Buddy

Dear Buddy,

I am afraid that this is not possible as most (if not all) email clients will not allow any JavaScript to run.

I am afraid not. You can only use them in websites.
