Can you work on the same menu from two different computers? For example, if I create a menu at home can I send the menu to my work computer to continue editing?

Hello Kirk,

Yes, you are able to work the same menu from 2 computers as long as you have AllWebMenus Pro installed on both computers. You can save and then export your menu project as a ZIP file (AllWebMenus -> File -> Export Project -> As ZIP file) and then get that zip to the other computer. Unzip it, open the .awm file and continue editing.

Please, let me know if you need further help.

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

To whom it may concern,

i downloaded trials for both the "AllWebMenus" and "Likno Web Tooltips Builder"

trying out the "export" feature to get the relevant html & css for both programs i only get the generic program file extension and one image.

Is this export disabled/limited for the trial versions ?

I presume they must export html & css, other wise how do i get or use them for a web project ?

your kind assistance in this would be greatly appreciated.

kind regards,
Randall

Dear Randal,

The "export" function will export the menu project so that you can transfer it to another computer.

What you are looking for is the "Compile" function. This is available for localhost in the Tooltips trial application, but it is not available in the AllWebMenus trial. If you want to be able to also compile a menu, please let me know and I will send you a custom trial activation key.

Best Regards,
Kostas

Knowledge Base support case for Likno Web Button Maker, abstracted and stripped of all user’s private info.

Initial Email Subject: Error when attempting to export jpg/png/gif in Likno Web Button Maker
Support Case Month: October 2012

I am attempting to export a button graphic (jpg/png/gif) that I have created and continue to get the following error:

Error(LT:-14) while exporting file C:\\Users\\.....\\W.jpg

This error happens for each of the formats.  I have attempted to find information relating to this error on your site, to no avail.

I have just recently installed Windows 8 Pro as my OS and this is the first time I have attempted to export a graphic from LWBM so that may be the issue.  I don't have any problem saving the file in *.wbm format.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in resolving this issue,

Kirk

Dear Kirk,

Can you please confirm that you are trying to save in a folder where you have write privileges?

It is not uncommon for users in windows 7+ to mix-up the folders and try to write something into a different user where they do not have access rights.

For example the last user had an old user named “john”:

C:\Users\john\...

And the new user was “JohnD”:

C:\Users\JohnD\...

When trying to export in “john” from his new windows 7 system, it was not working because he was logged in as “JohnD”.

Hi,

It never occurred to me that when I installed Windows 8, my user directory name was changed and, obviously, I didn’t double check the file name path in the export window.

Thank you for your quick response,

Kirk

Knowledge Base support case for AllWebMenus, Likno Web Scroller Builder, Likno Web Tabs Builder, Likno Web Accordion Builder, Liknow Web Modal Windows Builder, Likno Web Button Maker, Likno Web Tooltips Builder.

The following issue is related to users that login to their PC with another user account than the one they used to login when working with Likno products. This is also the case when users upgrade their Windows to a newer version of Windows (for example, upgrading to Windows 8) and their user account name is not the same as it used to be.

Those affected users are trying to save, compile or export a project and it seems that the file does not get generated where it should be.

This happens when the application does not have access rights for the given folder where the output file should be written. In most cases this is because the user tries to write to a folder of a different user.

If you recently upgraded to Windows 7 or Windows 8, then it is very likely that you created a new user, but all the paths in our projects are still pointing to the old user.

For example, your old user name was “john” and your “Documents” folder was under:

C:\Users\john\Documents

So all the projects point to that folder. Now that you upgraded, the new user is “JohnD” and the “Documents” folder points to:

C:\Users\JohnD\Documents

This can cause two types of confusion:

1) You are logged into your PC as “JohnD” and you are trying to write into “john" documents, so you get an error that you are not able to write there or no file is written.

2) If you have full admin rights, you may be able to indeed write a file there, but you are still looking for it into your new “Documents” folder, so it still seems that it does not work.

In either case, you should double-check the paths where you are trying to write the new file.

Hello,

We wanted to inform you that we have released new versions of the Likno Web Modal Windows builder - versions 2.0 Build #202 and #204.

Check out What's New in these versions:

- Fixed an issue where cookies for the "Open on Page Load" feature were removed when closing the browser.

- Added the "Auto Resize" feature that automatically resizes the modal window as the browser window gets resized.

- Added a "change" button for the "Site Root folder" in the "post-compile" screen.

- Added the "positioning: fixed;" feature to the "Overlay" and "Container". In IE quirks mode it falls back to "absolute" (depending on the page doctype being used).

- Added the automatic "break out" of frames feature for links opening modal windows from within frames or iframes.

- Fixed an issue were Opera could load a modal window multiple times, when particular conditions were met.

- Fixed an issue where the "Page Links" feature was functional only if the default project name was used.

- Fixed an issue with the activation process when requesting for admin rights.

You can download the latest version at:
